My understanding is that John won't even be the best Diener to ever play at DePaul.

Our Diener is bigger than their Diener

Announcers during the DePaul game mentioned that "the cavalry is coming" in terms of upcoming recruits.  I saw a 4 star PG and a couple lower ranked guys for 2017, then John Diener (any relation to Travis?) for 2018.  Is that really an improvement for DePaul? Are they recruiting themselves back to competitiveness?

Two intriguing transfer. Austin Grandstaff, a former top 100 player and Max Strus, averaged 22 points a game for a D2 program

Best sign ever: It's not the size of your Diener, it's how you use it.

I think with the new arena they are getting kids to at least take a look.

And Leitao can recruit.  If he stays at DePaul, they can be respectable.

Was that joey behind the mu bench today?

Honest question because I never know how other states label their divisions, what is the competition level Cain is playing at? These numbers are absurd. Is he playing at one of Michigan's higher divisions?

Izzo was in Merrill to watch Joey last night...

Mr. Sand-Knit

Cain plays in detroits public league is my understanding

Michigan has class A,B, C and D . A is the largest. Cain school is in Class C and the competition he is playing against is mixed. His school is not in the Detroit Public Or Catholic League which traditionally have been strong.

In Michigan, the classes for basketball are, from top to bottom, A, B, C, D.    There is no differentiation between public and private schools.     A 600 student Catholic/Christian/private school is in the same classification as a 600 student public school.

So much more reasonable than Minnesota, where everybody has to be an "A," so we have AAAA, AAA, AA, and A.

If it's like Wisconsin the classes only matter for playoffs.  What really determines the quality of competition is the conference.  The school where I teach is in a traditionally strong conference that regularly produces D1 players despite the schools being mostly smaller, and our basketball team regularly plays the much bigger public schools in town for non-conference.  So while our division (4...I think) may not be impressive, our competition is tough.

Just to close the door/chapter/book on Courtney Ramey, He had 26 pts last night and played a complete game in a 75-67 win for St. Louis Webster Groves over one of the better teams in Chicago, Morgan Park.

"the calvary is coming" is just filler language for an announcer whose job it is to speak on air. There is no calvary coming. There is only hope for the future; no answers.

Agreed , that is how it werks and im sure with cornerstone having a great hs player and being in detroit they are playing their fair share of good detroit schools before dropping into class c n smoking a bunch of schools their size in the playoffs.  Dominican in milwaukee is a fair exampke.
