Louisville had Elijah Weaver in this past weekend.Ramey may not be first choice.

Louisville has been 4 deep at Ramey's games, and long post-game conversations.  Their interest has been seen as very high. Publicly he has a final 13 list thus far. And, publicly he has said he would like to visit many of those schools on his list.  Recruiting is always fluid but lately all scuttlebutt has been Louisville.

Harry Froling has a 6'9" younger brother Sam, that's in the 2018 class as well and has received some D1 offers.

something from Evan Daniels at Scout:
Froling stands 6-foot-9 and is built much differently than his older brother. The younger Froling has a slight frame with decent length. While their physical makeup differs, they have similar feel and basketball IQ. Froling is a talented passer, is equipped with good hands and touch around the basket, and he's also able to step away from the rim for jump shots.

Did her ever even visit? If so, wasn't recently.

Madness was his last visit.  All signs pointing to Louisville.  Dosunmo and Moss are two other targets to watch.

Ramey was asked today if he had a shortened list from the 13. He mentioned Florida, (Florida has had past success recruiting St. Louis) Creighton, Kansas St., (Chris Lowery recruits St. Louis well) Ohio St., Illinois.  Some Creighton folks believe they were in his final three with Florida. That I did not hear either way.  Prior to the heavy interest both ways with Louisville the past few months, no other school stood out from the 13 in recent memory. Marquette did a good job of recruiting a high level player early and stayed on until they were not going to be an option. On to the next one.

Appreciate the insight. Too bad, liked Ramey's game. Hopefully we can land Ayo

Yep, you're welcome. He has good height, length for a point guard. He can create his own shot, or for others. He can score, good passer, pass first player, and he plays very aggressively. Plays under control. Can score 20 plus one night, can get 12 assists the next. He will play right away at Louisville and do well.  He was drawn to having Pitino show up for his games and recruit him hard.  Big name coach, big name program, both historically, but more importantly currently, recently. And he can pave his own path there not following in footsteps of other Stl kids at a place. A bit different of a process as he plays AAU for his dad's program and not one of the other higher profile programs. He does play for a high profile well coached high school team. His dad can be a handful at times, but manageable. Likes to have some control. But that won't be an issue at U of L.   If Marquette was coming off of a few sweet 16's, elite 8, etc...it would have helped a little bit.  He is not interested in a re-build, nor an on the rise but not there yet program. His mix of other schools were places that recruited him well, and/or where he knew the people recruiting him somehow.  So it always felt to me he was holding out for something like a Pitino and U of L type program, to see if he could get that. When he did, things changed quickly from a slow process, to done.  Just my two cents or less opinion.

Lots of good players out there everywhere.

Juan Anderson's Mixtape

Thanks for the info shoothoops.  I always felt Louisville was the team to beat if they made a push.  Like you said, they made the push and landed Ramey.

Still plenty of fish in the sea.  I think making the Dance this year is key.  That could clinch Joey early and let the staff focus on the big PGs they are after.

Funny story. I actually got rejected from CDH which was my first choice. I scrambled and took the entrance exam at SPA. I scored so well that they offered me a half scholarship. Told that to CDH over the phone and magically I got in the next day.

You guys suck. Go Ponies!!!

SaveOD238

Announcers during the DePaul game mentioned that "the cavalry is coming" in terms of upcoming recruits.  I saw a 4 star PG and a couple lower ranked guys for 2017, then John Diener (any relation to Travis?) for 2018.  Is that really an improvement for DePaul? Are they recruiting themselves back to competitiveness?

GGGG

John Diener is Travis' cousin. He is the son of the Cedarburg coach who won all those titles with Milwaukee Vincent. Also coached Looney at Hamilton.
