Herman Cain

We have the Ike and Cain factor going for us with Elliot. They all  play on the same club team.  I think our chances are enhanced as a result.

Makes it tougher for sure but also shows that Wojo is sniffing out good talent before the big boys do.

Not ready to throw in the towel on Elliott yet. We already beat them out for one recruit. Lost on another one. The battle for Elliott and Joey has yet to have a victor.

Marquette is a big boy.  Michigan State is beneath us.

A lot of activity on 247 Crystal Ball tonight....

Talent in Minnesota is really, really good. Scary thing is the best team in the state isn't even here -- Champlin Park.

All not to good right now.  What does Michigan St. have coming in next year, and back the following year at the guard spot?  They got Tillman and the another 6'10'
kid I know about that is really good?  Anybody else?

Jim Chones doesn't count.

Seriously, who did MU beat out MSU for?  Cain and Eke weren't offered by them.

Cristal bowel "activity" = ppl responding to widely known public information. It's a little marketing game. MSU offered so ppl clicked a button.

There will be a lot of pressure on Greg to stay in state.Hopefully the young man will make his own decision.I believe that Wojo's offensive philosophy is better for Greg Elliott than Michigan State.Hopefully the young man will reward Marquette for being there early and working the hardest. If he does choose Marquette,it will be showtime in Milwaukee with Greg Elliott and his close friend Jamal Cain.

There is a small chance that Courtney Ramey annouces his choice today.  He made a decision and has apparently changed his mind about announcing at this time.  Not surprising considering his recruitment.  He has wanted to take his time,  isit many schools, more than most recruits would.  As previously mentioned, if he does announce, many guessing it will be Louisville, as they have made a strong few month push recently.

Elliott has blown up.   It is to be expected that other high majors would get involved.

But MSU isn't just any high major...for a Michigan kid.

GoldenDieners32

Wasn't marquette the first big school to offer Elliott?

Apparently UF, Creighton, Louisville are the three favorites.

Well I went to high school in MN. I wouldn't say I'm from there. Moved a lot as a kid.

And yes, I went to CDH, the private school. We are so snobby. Especially when you compare us to suburban public schools like Eagan and Wayzata whose median household income is well north of 6 figures  ::)

(Not actually mad. They used to chant "Daddy's money" at us. We'd chant back "Look who's talking.")

Oh, TAMU, to us SPA'ers, you were just the poor kids down the block. Who were better than us at sports.

(Sorry to chime in this late, but I'm just coming back from my traditional post-loss scoop hiatus.)

Funny story. I actually got rejected from CDH which was my first choice. I scrambled and took the entrance exam at SPA. I scored so well that they offered me a half scholarship. Told that to CDH over the phone and magically I got in the next day.

Maybe the Elijah Weaver visit was behind the Ramey committing today talk?
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.
