Pops, ya talkin' Mercedes, Lexus, BMW, or Bentley here? And due wee haveta pimp our ride, hey?

The 2018 is a traditional family vehicle but there is a slightly used import in the garage getting tuned up.

The 2017 is yet another car from Detroit.

Earl Tatum

Hopefully, somehow, we add Joey, Race Thompson or Jarvis Thomas and
Courtney Ramey or Ayo Dosunmu for 2018. Others to consider as
aforementioned are Torrence Watson, T.J. Moss, Quentin Grimes and
a five star Simi Shittu. Like Thompson and Thomas, as we should build
a Minnesota pipeline. One thing to consider, we will be young, noth-
ing beats experience.

Earl Tatum

That is the player's name-Simi Shittu from Ontario Canada and we
were third on the board. He is 6-8 and a five-star

brewcity77

As nice as Shittu would be, I haven't heard us mentioned with him in ages. Would be very surprising if he was a legitimate option.

Earl Tatum

Brew you're probably right. Didn't notice we were third alphabetically
which means nothing

Rick Pitino watched Courtney Ramey last night, again. Ramey went to the UL v Uk game earlier this year.  UL making a big push in recent weeks.

He's been back about a week.  Try to keep up.
Got the info from a friend from Point at the DePaul game.  He is friends with the Hausers.  I'm gonna blast him for not updating me.

Ask him if Joey can commit today. I need something to celebrate after today's letdown.

Good suggestion brew.  Blue it is for commitments, either verbal or written.

That assumes other open scholarships would be filled. We could still add two for 2017 if the staff chose. My expectation is we add Elliott and explore the grad transfer market, which (by adding a graduate) would leave us with 2 for 2018, but say we added Elliott and Epperson with those open 2017 scholarships, the 2018 options effectively go away.

Brew has it exactly right.  By convention, I always assume that all available slots get filled 'immediately' and by a 4 year eligible player.  I had to pick a convention, I can always adjust after that.  I agree that the most likely scenario right now would be one more Frosh and a grad transfer or open scholly creating additional availability the next year.

Figurin' da pontoon has sailed on Epperson, hey?

Without a doubt, it did when we landed Froling. Pretty sure barring a 5-star falling into our lap, Elliott will be the guy they target to complete the 2017 class.

I would like to see us get Duane Washington Jr. , we showed some interest in him this summer.

Joey had 22 pts as Stevens Point lost in the Minnesota Border Battle
to Cretin-Durham 71-68. Oturu, a Minnesota commit, had 30 for Cretin.
He is 6-10. Class of 2018.

Your from Mn. Do you know JB?

Has anyone heard anything about JC Butler (2018) out of Racine Prairie?  He's scoring almost 25 PPG for a good team in a decent conference.  Local kid, but has strong basketball roots (he's Caron Butler's kid).  Rivals has us listed as interested, but I don't think I've seen his name mentioned here.

I think he played 16U for Butler Elite this summer... I was focused on their 15U team because of Nobal & Marcus.. wonder if they all might play together in 17U at times this summer? Kind of doubt it, but that would be worth some viewings for sure. Big summer coming up for JC... don't think we're real involved, but worth keeping an eye on...

Well I went to high school in MN. I wouldn't say I'm from there. Moved a lot as a kid.

And yes, I went to CDH, the private school. We are so snobby. Especially when you compare us to suburban public schools like Eagan and Wayzata whose median household income is well north of 6 figures  ::)

(Not actually mad. They used to chant "Daddy's money" at us. We'd chant back "Look who's talking.")

Makes it tougher for sure but also shows that Wojo is sniffing out good talent before the big boys do.

Not ready to throw in the towel on Elliott yet. We already beat them out for one recruit. Lost on another one. The battle for Elliott and Joey has yet to have a victor.
