Juan Anderson's Mixtape

I read somewhere that Sonon, top 20 recruit that Shaka was previously in on and is being recruited by Hurley, was in attendance yesterday.

Seems like the rich are going to get richer...

As an aside, it's got to be a crazy feeling being a Hugh Schooler knowing that in less than a years time you could be a millionaire. How things have changed.

I mean, Kevin Garnett basically kick started a decade of HS prospects entering the NBA draft.  So things weren't that different 20 years ago.  It was just the NBA instead of NIL.

Would be quite a coup. Hope they land him.

Perhaps, but how many were actually good enough to enter the NBA?

In NCAAb I'd probably imagine 100 or more out of HS get some sort of money, with 50 or more getting more money than 98% of the country makes.

It's just a wild reality.

Hopefully MU can recruit some consistent shooters. Can't compete in modern times without it.

There's a huge difference between millions and "some" money.

So true. We are dead in the water when we can't shoot well. Like yesterday.

60 in the paint would have fixed it.   Damn Clingan.

Ian is going to be a heck of a player. I was at Rolling Meadows game against Glenbrook North, and I think he was a bit tight with Matt Painter and our own Neil Berry at the game. Still managed to score 17 points and grab some nice boards, with the highlight being a really athletic breakaway dunk. Ian is long and would fit in Shaka's defense.
What struck me most about him is he's a super teammate. Always communicating with his teammates and encouraging them when something didn't go their way. He's a winner, only going to get better, and I really hope he chooses Marquette.

This report indicates Mr. Miletic is a talented shooter. We need more of those on our roster given the style of offense we have.

Watching his highlight videos, he reminds me of Sam Hauser. Tall and lanky, slow, solid ballhandler who won't blow by anyone, and deadeye from 3. I trust Shaka's talent evaluation and if he becomes close to what Sam was in college then it would be a great get.

Seems a tad more athletic than Sam to me.........I never saw Sam do this in High school....or college for that matter.....

I also saw a lob to him in another video.......Sam had 3 dunks in his MU career.

I'm not sure who he reminds me of......but I like his upside.

Ps Sam was indeed a great player for us.

Not a Marquette player, but Baylor Schierman maybe with the way he moves and his shooting form.  Long, 6'7 lefty.  Great shooter but can also make some plays off the bounce and rebound.  Not just a shooter.

If he commits that would thrill us all.......👍

Tom Izzo at Nicolet game tonight

El Guerrero 2

I was there too. And Zaide, Tre, and Caedin (I didn't spot anyone from our staff).

I can see why Shaka isn't spending a lot of time on Hannah. Kid has all the physical tools you could want, but I just don't see him as a culture fit. Besides, Tim Franks was far and away the best player on the floor tonight.
