I know the ones you discussed above, but every year there is always one they really want?  Who is it.

You could combine the belly and athleticism of Gardner with the height and "I have not slept in three days" look of Rowsey!

So you is the number 1 priority in 2025 recruiting?  Lots of names getting scholarship offers!

Quote from: brewcity77 on October 26, 2023, 08:40:14 AM
I really don't think I am. Doubt they want a 46-year-old sub-6' player with fading athleticism and a beer belly.

Preferred walk-on status to start, with an opportunity to earn a scholarship at age 48.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Probably have a monopoly on the New Balance NIL money.

New Balance shoe circuit is really quietly good right now. Honestly borderline better than Under Armor.

Marquette just got Caedin Hamilton who was playing in it. Gonzaga pushed late.
Asa Newell was a 5 star on it who just committed to Georgia.

Honestly no one. Our team is too good for a single recruit to really alter it.

My guess is the upcoming official visits are the two MU is closest to getting.

I personally really like Oswin, but if the young players frontcourt players show up in practice all season, there is no essential "need" for the roster in the future.

Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Someone was asking priority. I feel like Nyk is a priority

I agree that Nyk is priority.

Agreed on Lewis.  PG is probably the biggest need in 2025 and his game sure seems to fit our systems on both sides of the court.  Would love to see him be the start of the class.

Based on everything Ive seen the priorities in 2025 seem to be:
PG:  Nyk Lewis, Nigel James
Wings:  Adrian Stevens, Kelvin Odih, Jamarion Batemon
F: Amari Allen (possibly Xzavion Mitchell too, ive heard we would be in a great spot if Shaka decides to offer)

It doesnt seem like bigs are being prioritized in 2025 anymore, which makes sense considering weve brought in 4 guys who play the 4 and 5 between 2023 and 2024.

Interest in Kai Rodgers appears to be very strong. Shaka put offer out in April of this year.

Old men wear New Balance (my wife said she would not be seen in public with me if I wore a pair).

Old men have money.

Another poster mentioned that Kai likely wants to get out of town. Not related to Marquette, just not staying local.

Colton Langdon (6-7 from North Carolina) might be another priority at forward.

Sounds like Batemon loves Iowa State.

Nothing Shaka can do when the kid has no interest in staying in Wisconsin for college.  Some kids just want to go experience somewhere else and Kai is one of those kids.

I don't really think we're involved anymore, certainly not prominently.

It seems all the Milwaukee kids do not want either school in state

I think players go all over these days.
