Any anxiety over Tre Norman's Rutgers visit this weekend, just days ahead of his scheduled Sept. 6 commitment?
I not sure I want to go back to days of over recruiting. I would love to have Tre, but it would not bother me if we do not get him.

Omax is going pro.  The coaches are keeping his dominance in practice under the radar.

Because it's not worth getting anxious over or you think it's a given he picks MU?

Both.

Not landing Norman might not rise to the level of anxiety, but a bit surprised there isn't more excitement around what by nearly all accounts would be the best recruit of the cycle. He may not be a McDonald's All-American, but reports this summer made it sound like he really came into his own and has really improved over the past 8-9 months. Sounds like a lead guard that might be able to score in bunches and create for others. It's not exactly a position of need, but folks seem awful blase about what, per rankings, would be Shaka's biggest recruit thus far.

Hope there is nothing to worry about in Piscataway. Would be a bummer to lose out on Norman.

See what happens September 6th.  I think if they sign him, it will be a nice recruiting year.  3 kids around 100 in ranking with upside.  Curious who is leaving if they
do sign him??

Lot of time to figure it out.  There will be at least one kid leaving every year that hasn't used up all of their eligibility, regardless of whether we "oversign" on recruits or not.  Especially with the immediate eligibility of a transfer.  Probably best to "oversign" by one every year.

Estrella to Tennessee to compete with Aidoo for minutes.

MU already has Amadou.    So, on to 9/6.

He is the recruit I'm most excited about. He has clearly improved his offensive skillset, but his length, defense, and ability to rebound from the back court is what has me most excited. But based on what I've heard and read, I feel confident that the Rutgers visit is more a courtesy than anything else and I'm fully expecting him to end up here. If things change in the next 72 hours, I'll be disappointed, but I don't expect them to, which is why I'm not anxious about it.

Money talks. Hopefully Rutgers has the same "pay to retain not pay to gain" mindset on NIL that we have, allegedly.

I do not know what you have heard but MU is paying there players, Top 3 or 4 players are getting paid, the only other team that is paying
more is Creighton.

That's good to hear minus the Creighton news and I'm assuming you are talking about the Big East only.

My guess is that Harvard is in the lead right now . The young man has articulated  how he values the Ivy League opportunity.

The theoretical Harvard lead can be offset with NIL. I speculate that MU and Rutgers are most likely fighting it out over NIL dollars .

Appears to be the kind of player that would do well in the physical Big East games . Hopefully the Weiner Meter is pointing in the right direction

Are you talking about Norman? If so, then no. There is nothing indicating this to be accurate.

Well...he did say it wasn't a bad option  ;D

Marquette: "Just the whole staff there, they've been consistent since they started recruiting me. I went on a visit and it was just a bunch of love out there."

Harvard: "It's close to home. It would be a unique situation if I went there. They've been cool, too, since they started recruiting me, telling me what it is and what it isn't. I went there a couple of times, and it's just not a bad option for somewhere that's close to home."

First I hope the Weiner Meter points in our direction for Norman. Love what he brings to the table.

My guess ,theory etc that Harvard may be in a slight lead is that Tre has clearly articulated their value proposition .

I think MU and Rutgers could knock Harvard out with NIL though.

Harvard: "It's close to home, like 20 or 30 minutes from me. I'm a Boston kid and it is right there and it's Harvard. The school speaks for itself on many levels. They also have a good basketball program and there's some people from my area who went there and it's nice that it is such a good option right near my home."

So Harvard's "close to home" and "not a bad option." Not sure how that's any better than...

Marquette: "Just the whole staff there, they've been consistent since they started recruiting me. I went on a visit and it was just a bunch of love out there."

Marquette: "That visit was great and they showed a lot of love. We went to the Bucks arena and walked around some and also campus was a great experience. Coach Shaka and his coaches they kept it 100 with me and they showed me a lot of love. They weren't trying to sugarcoat me on anything and it wasn't just them being cool. It was everybody involved with the program from trainers to people behind computers in the office all of them were showing love."
