It's a suburb of the largest city in Ohio - probably a former small town school that has grown with the area. It's not some rinky dink town in the sticks.

Looked up the population of Gahanna: 35,726

Basically the same size as Menomonee Falls: 37,160

As of the census[3] of 2010, there were 33,248 people, 13,037 households

I see preliminary 2020 census number in the 35k range.  Clearly blossoming into a metropolis 

These type of cities can't grow because the suburbs grow around them. I'm sure the school district has grown significantly.

My only point was really that not many people have heard of Gahanna Ohio, and even if Jones becomes one of the best NBA players in history, not many people will know of Gahanna, Ohio.  My hometown HS, on par with Gahanna is home to a NFL superstar , and still not many people have heard of it.  Lots of population in Ohio, a lot of is rural.

Edit to add: By all accounts he was born in the metropolis of Gahanna nearly 20 years ago.  Didn't transfer there because of how good the competition/coach was.

One of my good friends is originally from Gahanna.  He's back in Columbus now and was furious that OSU didn't go after Jones.  He saw him in person a couple times this year and said he's the absolute real deal.  Super quick and strong when you see him play in person.

Tyler Ulis was a small guard for Kentucky that got drafted after 1 or 2 years.  Not sure Jones gets drafted, but he'd be a great player for him to model his game after.
