I'm pretty sure he was looking forward to the UVA offer but it sounds like Coach Smart has built up a pretty good relationship with Bond.  I think Bond knows that he is MU's #1 priority in that class.  We are not out of this fight yet.

New 2023 offer. Zaide Lowery. SG out out of Springfield, MO. Doesn't have a 247 page yet and it appears that we are his second offer after local Missouri State. Other high majors are kicking the tires but we are the first to jump in. Had a really good showing at the Best of the South event this week.

New 2022 offer. Malik Dia. 3-star PF out of Nashville. Holds offers from Creighton, St. John's, Vanderbilt, Nebraska, and TCU. Had a good showing at the same Best of the South event that Lowery was at.

Cincinnati: "Coach [Wes] Miller, he came out and he told me he was going to try to make it special and it was. It was a real good visit and I got to hang out with the guys, got to watch them workout so it was good."

Marquette: "It was good, hometown, it was a real good experience. As soon as he got here within the first two weeks he hit me and said he wants to grab some of the best players in the area. So he came in and he showed love right away. We are close. I think Coach Smart is going to build it up. Marquette fell off a bit as a really good basketball school and I think coach Smart is going to bring it back up, make the city proud."

Virginia: "Real good program, it speaks for itself. Coach [Tony] Bennett and the whole staff are real nice, they showed a lot of love, it was real cool."

UVA is tough competition but based solely on the amount of verbiage when he discusses the three schools, I think our chances are better than 50/50, at least for now. But Cincy?  What's that all about?
