Tre Holloman is on campus for his official. 2022 PG. Top prospect in Minnesota. We just made his final 6 yesterday. 52 overall on the 247 composite.

Would be a HUGE get
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

This means his and Leon Bond's visits will overlap a day right? Could be a big few days for recruiting.

There are some kids we need to sign on name alone, Papa fits that bill.

Every block he gets, the crowd roars - "Who's your Papa!"
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Being from Minnesota, I hope he can handle the Milwaukee heat!

Leon Bond is about to blow up. I am very very happy MU has positioned themselves this well with him. Him and one solid point guard (jones or Holloman) would be a strong class alone supplemented with a transfer in 2023.

plus my god does Bond fit the shaka smart defense.

Leon up to 42 in the new 247 rankings.

Leon Bond, SF, Wauwatosa East, JH1 Elite

New Rank: 42

Old Rank: 146

Recruitment: Leon Bond was quietly slipping underneath the national radar for much of his career until he hit the spring circuit with JH1 Elite, receiving offers from low- and mid-major programs until Virginia Tech jumped in the mix and extended an offer. Since then, Bond has landed two more offers from Marquette and Cincinnati. Marquette has prioritized the local prospect and given the proximity, they appear to be the early leader. He recently took an official visit to meet with the Bearcats and has been to Marquette unofficially.

Why he rose: Bond made a big rise in large part due to his length, versatility, athleticism and motor for a wing. He's strong, explosive and plays with a relentless energy and aggressiveness on both ends of the court. He defends multiple positions, rebounds and runs the court and makes plays in transition. Bond can play both the three and four and makes for a mismatch on the offensive end of the floor. In the half-court he is a very effective mid-range shooter but can also drive his man and get to the rim, making him an effective pick-and-pop weapon who can attack slower bigs. His ability to play multiple positions and his impact on both ends of the court, landed him in the top 50.

Been awhile since a Tosa East kid played at MU - Tony Smith, although not many high major prospects from there since except Jerry Smith.

Sounds exactly the type of kid we should be prioritizing as Shaka is doing apparently.  This is the type of kid Wojo and staff were generally and inexplicably  ignoring, especially the last year.  Glad to see Shaka doing a 180 in that approach for local kids who can play at this level.  Hope he's a Warrior!

Would love to see Shaka's first 2022 commitment this weekend in Bond. Heck, make it 2 with Holloman.  8-)

A college aged Devin Harris once threatened to "beat yo a**" at a Tosa East playoff VB game against my HS cause he bumped into my outside the bathroom and I said "that's a charge Devin".  Must have been having girl problems

Second only in MU rival villain interactions to Reece Gaines' mother trying to climb out of a suite at the BC to get at me and saying her group would be waiting for me in the concourse cause my skinny 5'7 15 year old self deeply touched her with my heckling of the Louisville contingent in there and her son.

GPA not good enough

Forgot he took an unofficial to Marquette in early June.  2022 action is picking up quick.

Marquette in the top 8 for 4-star Class of 2022 SF Christian Watson. He plans to decide in August.

Marquette: "I included Marquette because Coach Shaka Smart is a great coach who's been around for a while. He took VCU to a lot of final fours and NCAA appearances. They're a great program, they love my game and can see me playing right away. They see that I fit their playing style really well and have been on big on me big lately. Im going to get down there at some point."
