Not really.  Bragging about Joey losing in the play in round of the NCAA tournament and Sam playing for an underperforming UVA team is hardly "solid."

I mean it was clear that Wojo wasn't a good coach, but let's not exaggerate the seasons either of them had because I think both of them would label them as "disappointing."

I don't know....but we certainly aren't recruiting them!
There is a thread in Superbar dedicated to the Hausers.   People can go there and discuss the Hausers all day everyday. This is the recruiting thread.

Nobody is saying Joey or Sam aren't good players. But people are pretending they had this wild success and really improved greatly as players once they left Marquette. The reality is one of them finished a single spot higher in the conference standings than they did at Marquette, and neither improved the chances of getting drafted. Both also ended up contributing to the worst defense in their respective programs in over a decade.

The reality is the Hausers did no better at UVA or MSU than they did at MU. The narrative that they were so smart to get out of MU just doesn't meet reality.

Did you ever consider that the reason they did not finish higher at MU was because of pass poor coaching, and that prompted their leaving? Hell no, because that does not fit with your blojoe slavishness of Wojo-Dukiet

His in-game coaching was abysmal, his handling of the Hauser situation was childish, and his genuine shock this offseason that Scholl suggested things needed a modicum of changing was hilarious.

You were wrong, he was terrible for this program.  We've moved on to a much better coach.

Oh and Sam Hauser was a stud for Marquette and shitting on him for any reason is pathetic.  He was a damn good college player who we all knew probably didn't have the athleticism to make the league.

Shaka has talked to Milan Momcilovic.  Will be interesting to see how much he can improve his athleticism.  Not a Shaka level defender yet but his skillset on offense already looks pretty advanced for a 2023 kid.

The claim was that the Hausers were so much better off by getting out from under Wojo.  The reality is the Hausers are in no better position to make it to the NBA and won an identical number of NCAA Tournament games as they did under "Steve unnatural carnal knowledgeing Wojciechowski."  So in reality, they treaded water.  If that's "crapting on Sam Hauser" then Sam Hauser crapted on himself.

But hey.  Sam joined the defending national champions and found himself one spot higher in the conference standings than he was at Marquette, and also got bounced in the first round of the NCAA Tournament like he did at Marquette.

I don't think Sam Hauser the individual player or Joey Hauser the individual player and their development is a negative for Wojo. As others have said, they didn't perform much differently for their new coaches.

However, the fact that Wojo was coach and they left is a pretty big indictment. I would also say that the way they played after Markus got hurt and after the Hausers left showed Wojo had shortcomings as a coach.

It reminds me a bit of Ned Yost and managing a bullpen. Yost was extremely outdated in managing a bullpen. However, the Royals bullpen was so good top to bottom, it covered up how bad Yost was at managing it.
