Nice recruiting thread we got going

Yep. Almost makes me long for an update on our pursuit of the 43rd Antetokounmpo brother.

Almost.

Thanks, Guru.

Minnesota looks like our most fertile recruiting ground. Makes sense for a lot of reasons - lots of highly rated '22 recruits, geographical proximity, a foothold due to recent recruiting successes there and less than overwhelming local competition.

Apparently being in the NE was not a big deal for Joseph.

It is all about Hunter, at the point, but with Jones they have enough guards for a few years.  They really need to add a wing and a center.

zcg2013

Even with Jones, I really want us to land Hunter. I have an inkling Carton is not here for too long.

If there is no season I don't expect Carton back
Goal is National Championship
CBP profile my people who landed here over 100 yrs before Mayflower. Most I've had to deal with are ignorant & low IQ.

Also, there probably is a great chance that Elliott does not comeback for his senior season, so Hunter is still a big play.  I can see MU looking for a grad senior to
start at center unless Etienne shows up.  Small forward is anyones guess, but do not see either of those players above at MU next year.

My source is that it looks to me that Elliott will be lost in the shuffle with Akanno looking really strong, and Perez coming in.  Playing time, might be the
problem, and when your a senior only thing that matters is playing time.  He always has been nicked up with injuries, maybe this year he will be fine and
take the next step, and earn more playing time, time will tell.

::) ::) ::) Freshman who has yet to play a minute, and player transferring up from the Southern to the Beast.  Also, playing time is not the only thing that matters.  Based on everything I've seen, Greg seems to really enjoy his time at MU, I'm not going to say that there is a "great chance" that he doesn't return based on the evidence (or lack thereof) that you've provided.

But, he also likely could be a grad transfer along with the departure of his buddy Jamal Cain.  If he gets lost in the shuffle as you say, a grad transfer could be in the offing.  Hopefully, though, Greg comes back from his injuries and becomes a significant contributor.

I would rather have an experienced vet coming back but college hoops has changed, 1000 kids transferred this year all looking for something different.  Elliott may
finish his career at MU which would be great but there is a reason Wojo wanted 2 guards this year, Carton and Koby leaving, add Elliott and you only have 4 guards
the following year. still need a wing to replace Cain.

I think if there isn't a season, we could see a lot of teams with upperclassmen leaving to play overseas even though they have 1 or 2 years of eligibility left

Carter Whitt for me. Also, just a hunch but I think MU might offer C Trey James this week. He was committed to Wake Forest and de committed after the Coaching change. MU has stayed in contact with him but have not offered...yet.

With the way this year has been and all the guys that MU has lost out on already, If they landed two more guys, my preferences are Etienne/Whitt, I'd call it a day and hold the remaining scholarships and go all in on some stud transfers next year
