Was thinking that it might remove that awe struck feeling of walking into the blue blood gyms seeing all the banners in the rafters. I think a virtual visit makes it easier to put shiny things in front of the camera

The Fiserv Forum and the Al are impressive in a video, plus Wade and Markus.  Markus got a ton of good publicity, I am sure it helped getting Carton to MU

Does anyone know what the virtual visits entail? Is it just Wojo and the coaching staff video chatting in a room? Is someone filming them walking around the Al and talking? Do they have pre-recorded materials to send to the recruits now?

I personally like him. has some really nice film against Pat Baldwin. 6'7 in the nigel hayes / brendan dawson mold. G'town offered after his last HS matchup vs Baldwin where he scored 30+ points. Meanstreets a couple years ago, last summer Phenom and Playground Club and was/is going to run with D1 Minnesota this spring/summer

Kendall Brown, 5 star 2021 guard had a virtual visit with Marquette over the weekend. Also had them with Ohio State & Kansas

Great to hear that they are still keeping close with him. Given the Ohio state basketball team basically leaving and Kansas facing violations that may not have a penalty, I feel good about Marquette's position overall. Certainly helps that he appears to have a good relationship with Dawson.

Kendall Brown recently visited MU with his dad, very nice kid. Can't remember the exact game (weekend game versus Nova?) but he was in concessions line in front of me with his dad. He's easy to spot because he's massive, but he turned to me and asked if I was enjoying the game? I said "yea Kendall, great game so far." He was surprised/happy I knew him and his dad turned and smiled and said 'this seems like a great place' and I said something along the lines of "yea these fans would love Kendall in blue and gold, good luck to your bright future." They seemed to be having a good time at the game.

Chicos inspired me to share that story, hope it wasn't tampering! All kidding aside I feel like Wojo feels really good about the chance to get Brown to MU. He would be the crown jewel of the class. The persistence worked with Garcia and hopefully it works with KB

No question about it. Just saying that attitudes can change. Like our former #10 and the state university.

The difference is that Marquette offered Tyrese.

This is my opinion on why the offer came when it did and this is only an opinion.  I saw Tyrese play the opening game of the year and I think Wojo might have gone to see him the third game of the year.  He struggled shooting the ball a little out of the gate last year.  Through the first 4 games last year, he was 2-17 from 3 and was around 60% from the free throw line.  When I watched, I told a friend that Tyrese had to play better in front of Wojo to get an offer.

From Christmas on he really picked it up and became the player I had seen last summer and obviously Wojo saw what he wanted to see.

Stoopid Wojo. He shouldn't waste virtual time and virtual resources on 5-stars who also are being virtually recruited by Ohio State and Kansas.

Seriously, this kid is a stud. It's probably a long shot that we can lure him away from the bluebloods, but it's certainly worth making inroads with him IMHO.

Colleges have roster limits of 13 scholarships so Ohio State and Kansas have limited room. There are a lot of good high school kids to go around. The pressure is really on the kids not the college's.
