In the long run, it is best for all parties that he makes a well informed decision.

No question about it. Just saying that attitudes can change. Like our former #10 and the state university.

Conway committing at 7

100% Seton Hall in crystal bowels, including Mark Miller. Did recently push back date ahead of tonight so maybe a change of heart

FYI...Jerry Meyer put in a crystal ball today for Mane going pro.

I have been wondering if COVID-19 may drive him to go pro. IIRC, he has to pull out of the draft by June 3rd in order to retain college eligibility. We're not likely to have a definitive answer on the status of the 20-21 season by then. Worst case scenario for him could be that he decides to go to college and then the NCAA season gets cancelled. He obviously could go overseas at that point but he may miss a better opportunity as a result.

Yes think that this might be the case after just watching Dawson say on video he thought Karim might be going pro or something to that extent.

Karim sat in the row behind us and as I said earlier we saw many many good signs and one maybe not. But upon further reflection I feel they were all good signs. Karim enjoyed the game, people and had fun. Karim is the best player out there for Marquette. And I hope and believe Marquette is the best school for Karim.

Mane ain't coming

Other than the probability most recruits we go after won't play for Marquette, any real information?

I don't see him as getting drafted before mid-to-late second round. Many nba execs have moved away from the prep to pros unless it is guaranteed to be the next best player. His profile doesn't suggest that. He was also limited with injury this past year which makes evaluation even harder.

If I was an exec, I would try to pick him up as an undrafted free agent and dump him into the g league. If I am Karim, I would look the college route or if I needed the cash Europe.

If you are saying you think MSU is the favorite then you are at least putting something out there then the most likely outcome.

I don't have deep insider sources or anything.

But every now and then I get reliable telephone style info. And I would be floored if Mane ends up at MU next year. I'd very confidently bet he goes pro, but even if that changes it's not gonna be us as the college choice.

I think maybe you misunderstood the point of the telephone game.

Kendall Brown, 5 star 2021 guard had a virtual visit with Marquette over the weekend. Also had them with Ohio State & Kansas

Stoopid Wojo. He shouldn't waste virtual time and virtual resources on 5-stars who also are being virtually recruited by Ohio State and Kansas.

Seriously, this kid is a stud. It's probably a long shot that we can lure him away from the bluebloods, but it's certainly worth making inroads with him IMHO.

Likes Dawson Garcia, brother in town, never know, virtual recruiting, not sure if it helps MU or not?

Was thinking that it might remove that awe struck feeling of walking into the blue blood gyms seeing all the banners in the rafters. I think a virtual visit makes it easier to put shiny things in front of the camera
