...based on comments I overheard a Badger fan make re: MU at a game at the Kohl Center during the Buzz era, some of those upstate NY folks now reside in Dane County.

I too, heard many racist remarks at the last MU-UW game I attended at the Kohl Center.  It was probably Vander's soph year, and many were directed at him.

As a whole, the game was rather enjoyable:

1.  Crowder grew tired of waiting for Bergeren to finish dancing during warmups, and Jae turned his back when Bergeren finally arrived to give a fist bump at mid-court.
2.  Vander and Mayo made the Badger guards appear slow and weak by comparison.
3.  Buzz rushed over to hug the little girl who sang the National Anthem.  When Bo saw what was going on (several seconds later), he tried to do the same but it was obviously not genuine - Bo seldom was.
4.  The Kohl Center was eerily quiet (other than the racist cat calls from UW fans).
5.  MU won going away - fun night on State St.

Despite what some seem to think, Marquette University is located in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin, not the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, although there is a town there named Marquette, hence the confusion.

The Badger football team was playing in B10 championship game, so MU fans had bought up a ton of tickets to that game.  I was in Madison pre-game and was amazed at the amount of MU gold.

2011-12 was a very enjoyable team to watch. Thanks for posting that great game.

Hopefully MU can get back to that level of play with some of our recent recruits and  key transfer.
