Could you imagine if Mickey Crowe played in the modern era? Would have been interesting to see how he would have fared with a 3 point line and shot clock.

I know he had some personal issues that kept him from reaching his potential.

His brother is a Theology instructor at MU.

I think the better questions are, how good could he have been had he not had his mental health issues and had he not played for his dad?   Let's also remember that early 1970s, Class B WISAA wasn't exactly a murderers row of high school programs.

IMO at best he would have been Anthony Pieper.  Which wasn't bad, but it wasn't Maravich.

ESPN posted final 2020 recruiting rankings and Dawson Garcia #46. That has to be the lowest McDonalds All American ever?

I don't think anyone is big fans of ESPN recruiting coverage but interesting nonetheless.

Justin Lewis #67. Oso not in top 100

The last one I remember in that range was #44 Tyler Lewis who was a McDonald's All-American for NC State back in 2012 (ended up at Butler). Not sure if there have been any ranked lower, though RSCI or the 247 Composite are still better indicators (Garcia is still #30 per 247 Composite & #31 RSCI, Lewis was #47 & #43, respectively).

What's Garcia ranked if he's headed to Duke or UK next year?

This is a photo of Tyler Lewis at age 25 from when he was hired at Elon as DOB last year. Same McDonalds All American class as Gary Harris, Kris Dunn, TJ Warren, etc. I am getting mid 40 vibes

Agree that ESPN rankings are meaningless. Look at how terrible their coverage of the NFL draft was when their player descriptions lagged a half hour behind the actual picks.

Solid, strong PG from St Johns Military in Delafield, WI. Originally from NY. Could see Marquette offering him a walk on spot

Instagram live earlier with Dawson Garcia I found. Interesting how he talked about KM, Garcia said "we'll see what he does, whether he enters the draft or comes back"

MU had a great player from St. Johns Military who was originally from NY named Dwayne Johnson. Too bad he couldn't have stayed eligible his senior season, it may have save Rick Majerus job.

I'll take it. Keeps the speculation going.

If I remember correctly ,Rick fell in love with Dwayne and didn't see the true beauty in Ronnie Williams until after Williams  went to Florida. I think Majerus admitted that was a recruiting evaluation mistake he made at the time.

Johnson was more heralded while at SJMA and had an erratic career while at MU. Williams was taller and was arguably the Gators best player.
