Bad information. We've been told for weeks Mane isn't interested in MU because of Wojo's coaching ability. I can't imagine anyone on this board making things up.
Is he following the coaches and players on social media???

From what I know backwards They like Wojo

If the parents like Wojo, does that mean Mane isn't thrilled with Wojo?

Bearcat fans are ready to celebrate DeJulius tomorrow on the 247 forum. Seems like Brian Snow also chimed in that they were looking good.  Wonder what the draw is there vs his other options. Do people look at Symir from the outside as someone who would be tough to compete with for minutes at the 1?

It's the closest school to home for him

The ship sailed a long time ago, but Jalen Suggs signed with Gonzaga today

It did...and many still expect that he'll go pro. Reportedly has a six-figure offer from the G League already.

So the parents don't like Wojo? Or the parents just prefer a different coach/school?

My read on this by reading the thread is parents like Marquette, but want him to make sure he sees all his options. Also, it's not like MU is running out of scholarships anytime soon. Mane can take his time.

Major update on top-available senior Karim Mane. He told @Stockrisers he virtually visited with Marquette last week, Michigan State and DePaul yesterday and this evening will take one with Pittsburgh. Yep and he went and looked in their fridge and it was stocked so he didn't recommend going pro.

Why in the hell would the kid have any interest at all in DePaul?? It's kind of weird in that at one time his only focus seemed to be on MU and Michigan St, and now that has suddenly increased to include DePaul and Pitt as well. Just commit to MU already and be done with it kid.

How does this work? Aren't the G League teams tied to NBA teams? Would the prospect be committing his rights to the NBA team without ever having been drafted?

(Also, how did Miami get paired with Sioux Falls of all places??)

I haven't heard the specifics, but they would essentially just be full-time minor leaguers and draft eligible the next year. Darius Bazley from Syracuse was going to do that, but instead took the year to work out and train and then went into the 2019 draft. I imagine they would play the year, get the coaching and training regimens of a G League team, then go into the draft. They wouldn't be tied to a team until they were drafted and under a NBA contract.

So what is the incentive for the team to pay high schoolers 6-figure contracts? I can't imagine G League fans will significantly boost their attendance because some guy recruiting experts say is good played there instead of Gonzaga

In the short term, I agree. In the long term, I think they might try to set the G League up as competitive with college. I'm not sure if it will ever work because you have to then develop a fanbase, but there's certainly an argument that a lack of top talent has hurt the NCAA. If the best 18-year-old stars of the future are in the G League, maybe people start tuning in. I have no idea if it will work, but it's another way to build a brand.

I think you're right on that one. I remember the story of Al recruiting Chones at the Chones residence in Racine...those were some teams!
