So is he pro ready or college bound after you saw him twice the last few days?  It is a big jump from High School to the pros.

I didn't see him, just read the reports.

I'd guess he goes to college but frankly I have no idea.

I don't understand why that is stopping you from rendering an evaluation.  ;)

Keep an eye out for Javon Freeman as a traditional transfer.

Was supposed to transfer last season, I've heard rumblings he going to pull the trigger after this season.

Pure PG, more of a slasher than shooter, really good finisher.

Aircraftcarrier

He would be a good get.Kid can really play

4everwarriors

Weir kinda short on traditionals too, hey?

Definitely an interesting prospect. Any speculation as to it being a mid-season transfer or end of season?
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Highly doubt it would be mid-season. He's a smart kid, gotta imagine he knows this is his "showcase" season to get high major offers and get the full two years.

The Sultan

Why didn't he pull the trigger last year?  Lack of offers?

Freeman's uncle is Marcus Liberty.  Liberty was the National High School player of the year.  From Chicago.  Played a couple seasons at Illinois before a half-dozen years in the NBA.

Freeman looked at transferring last spring.  His only campus visit was @ Northwestern.  Had contact with Baylor, Nevada and Cincinnati.

At the time he said he wanted to "reach my full potential in basketball and see what else is out there for me."

His mother moved to Valparaiso for his freshman season and he cited that as a reason he returned to Valpo.

Freeman had quite a game last time out at the Paradise Jam.  32 against Cincinnati.

Speaking of transfers...TJ Starks is transferring from Teas A&M. He had been suspended for marijuana possession(no big deal IMO).

I wonder if Todd Townsend has any contact with him still?  Todd was an assistant at Valpo last season, but it looks like he's out of coaching and back in Milwaukee this year.

He cared about one player doing it until he had to beg him back because he was "short" on guards....the other guys...he didn't care so much.

And it wasn't the whole team doing it, let's not paint with too broad a brush here.

Article on the showcase with Mane. May just be conjecture, but sounds like college is still very much on the table for him, given his "late bloomer" status and the ability college will give him to showcase more.
