Love that Dawson is already commenting on another guys MU gear just hours after his IU visit ended. Would be an absolute monster here

I wouldn't read into it. I'd imagine if Kendall had been visiting UNC, a school Garcia eliminated after they landed a commitment from a similar player as him, this weekend and posted pictures of himself in the UNC uniform Dawson would've made the same comment on the pictures.

oldwarrior81

didn't Kendall transfer to a high school/academy in Kansas?

I don't like RJ visiting UNC and deciding promptly, then Garcia visiting IU and saying a decision would be forthcoming.
Really want to se him in MKE.

Interview from Indiana guy Jeff Rabjohns with Dawson Garcia:

https://247sports.com/college/indiana/Article/Video-interview-5-star-Dawson-Garcia-Part-1-137388301/

Followed by Rabjohn's 10 takeaways:

https://247sports.com/college/indiana/board/105672/contents/5star-dawson-garcia-his-recruitment-ten-key-things-to-know-137390244/

My summary:
He thinks it's MU 1a and Indiana 1b right now. Would be surprised if it's anything but one of those 2.

his famGarcia may or may not visit MU again. He said in the interview that he will probably sit down with ily after the IU visit this weekend and make a decision.

The Garcia family values the time Marquette has invested in recruiting him.

He thinks IU is behind MU but has a chance to pass us with the visit.

We R Final Four

Think it might be telling one way or another if the staff goes to see him this week.

Wojo cancelled a trip to see RJ - 4 or 5 days later he made it official.

Does Wojo/MU have a scheduled trip to see Dawson?

from Indiana 247, interesting post-visit write up about what Indiana pitched to Dawson against Wojo...

"He really likes that Romeo Langford was an NBA lottery pick after his freshman year and still comes back and spends time at IU. He was really impressed how much time Langford spends at IU when he has time. (Romeo was on campus for around a week or so over the summer, staying with current IU point guard Rob Phinisee for a stretch.)

One thing that's interesting is, behind the scenes, it's no secret that Henry Ellenson, who played at Marquette and went to the NBA, doesn't speak highly at all of Marquette. Obviously the Hauser brothers transferred away from Marquette. So IU was able to juxtapose that to Langford"

Wojo can show Jimmy Butler and Jae Crowder wearing their Marquette shoes during NBA games.  Or Wesley Matthews coaching the TBT team.

To be fair none of them played for Wojo. If Archie did take that route I'd imagine he was taking shots more at Wojo than at MU as a basketball school.

It's definitely an issue to be concerned about.  If it were me, that would be pretty far down on the list for why I choose a program, but I'm not him.

Not to mention at MU, he can be around NBA players like Giannis, regularly. Some kids may value that, some may not.

Also, it was stated that It's uncertain right now if Dawson will take another visit to MU or not. He and his family will discuss it this week. The Minnesota insider said he has talked to two people about it and a decision maybe/probably(I took it to mean a commitment) coming this week.

I don't know how to interpret that.  I guess we'll just have to see.

Well, the IU insider seems to believe that IF he does take another visit to MU, that it would be good for IU.

Yeah I just think getting him on campus is always a good thing.

Fair enough.  If he sold Dawson on the fact that his one and done player from IN who didn't know where he'd be living in a month or two came to campus after his post season-less season then more power to Archie.

I agree with that...although, if Wojo goes and sees him this week, he could potentially seal it in the in home as well.
