Why can't you kids stick to recruiting news?

Because there is none, yet everyone is looking for some, so this is the thread everyone goes to.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Understand. Summers are brutal for Scoopers.  But someone reported that Osa was announcing his decision in 48 hours and so the time is up.

Let the kid take the weekend to decide.

Evan Daniels said Osa "could" decide within 48 hours. But as I suspected he had no information, just speculation.

That's been the idea since his last visit and that's not just coming from Evan Daniels.

Osa narrowed his list to 4 schools. And, he made sure to visit all of four. That was completed last weekend. He was not going to decide prior to completing his visits to his finalists.

He has no other schools on his list, and he has no more visits scheduled. So it's now a week in to waiting for his decision which will arrive whenever he is ready, sooner, or later.

Yuck...yuck and more yuck. People need to get over the fascination with Wardle. What has he accomplished that says he deserves a job like MU?? Just because he's an alum and some of you think he'd bring continuity...sure, I don't disagree he might, but he'd also probably most likely bring below expectations type results on a yearly basis too. Unless you're one that doesn't think MU is much of a program and mediocrity is just fine, then by all means, bring on Wardle.
Bringing below expectations type results--'just like wojo.

Agree.  If we don't get Tony Bennett, it'll be a disappointment

Tony Bennett? He has won only one national title. Why would we settle for such mediocrity?

I'd go after Coach K or Roy Williams but the NCAA will probably give them show causes.

I think it's safe to say those are the top targets outside the guys scheduled for officials and Osa

I believe the quiet period ended today, which IMO is why you are going to hear a lot more news in the coming weeks.  Interesting that Osa Ighodaro isn't getting a full visit in the first week.

A little surprising no visit to Osa, but a visit to Lewis. Not sure if that is something to read into or not. Glad to see the staff is keeping Garcia and RJ priorities right now. Those are really big pieces.

RJ and Zed are both out East, while Osa is West.  Lewis is easy to get to based on where they're heading for RJ and Zed while Osa is the opposite direction.  My guess is the staff knows where they stand with Osa, or that they'll be out to visit Osa maybe towards the end of the week.

I wouldn't read anything into it. Nothing about anyone else visiting Osa today either. Shaka is in Oklahoma and no word on Haase or Stackhouse.

More from Zags:

Marquette: "They feel Markus [Howard] is leaving so I can make an immediate impact as a freshman. They have a lot of seniors leaving but they have a couple of veterans, and I'm a priority for them as well."

No timetable for his decision and plans to take all his official visits, including Marquette Sept. 27-29.
Hopefully it's still ice cream (truck) weather.
