Agreed. Louisville and Arizona stand out, UCLA and Oregon are tough to beat for west coast kids, but no one that I think is unbeatable.

The good news is, he's a Chicago kid (thus the Illinois offer being in the top 12). I don't think that those schools have the same sway for him that  would exist for native West Coast kids.

Already been reported. Try to keep up, Herman.
I mean, OK, maybe he's secretly a serial killer who's pulled the wool over our eyes with his good deeds and smooth jumper - Pakuni (on Markus Howard)

Sorry I missed that amidst the off topic thread congestion going on earlier. Correction Noted.

Awesome.  Given the crystal ball predictions and now the announcement coming soon, hard not to feel good about it.  Would be a nice start to the class.  Hopefully it goes as expected.

How do we not have 5 schollies available.....

Howard
Sacar
Hauser 1
Hauser 2.....used by Jayce temporarily......
Morrow.....

and that does not even include Ike who is more than questionable......

MuMark

We do have 5 but  possible that we only use 4 and bank 1 for later use.

Any update on Garcia?

Had (has?) mono and is scheduled to be in the USA Basketball event this week in Colorado Springs this week with Lewis, Burnett, Suggs, etc..  Not sure if he'll be there or if he'll be playing.

Any idea how and what time Lewis will be announcing his decision tomorrow?

Is he still considering Marquette?

I like this kid a lot....besides the talent which is obvious based on his YouTube videos (reminds me of Lazar Heyward).    Smart/articulate, pleasant, down to earth, great fit for Marquette!

I'm not saying this as a knock on him at all, in fact quite the opposite because what is there not to like about him when you watch the tape?? I wonder though why he doesn't/didn't have bigger offers than what he has/had?? He certainly strikes me as the type of kid that should have had much bigger offers than what he got. Maybe not blueblood offers, but not far below that either. If he commits to MU, he could be one of the steals of this draft class, the ENTIRE class, not just MU's class.

I want this quote to serve as a reminder to the vast majority of scoop posters in regards to the MU BB program.

He didn't have blue blood offers but an offer list that includes Florida, Maryland, Georgetown, UConn, St. John's, and Texas Tech is nothing to sneeze at.

Justin is very attractive to schools at the level of MU. A very competent versatile player who clearly likes working within a system. That coach-ability is worth a lot.

A kid like this can come in to a program like ours and get playing time and continue to develop his skills and be a solid 4 year type  with the potential for eventually being an All Big East type player if he hits his ceiling. This is the type of athlete  Crean/Buzz consistently recruited.

We are lucky that Justin's stock is rising at a slow enough rate that the Blue Bloods are not nosing around yet.

If we could get this young man in the fold now it would give our 2020 recruiting efforts a big jolt of energy .
