Along with Kentucky and Duke, Arizona is one of the three schools I feel least confident going up against for a recruit.
Why have we come to a point when all I can see from your post is....

Along with JoeyTheClownAiuppa and BabyFace Nelson, Al Capone is one of the three hoods I feel least confident going up against for a recruit.

Zenyatta has a lot....a lot... of ground to make up. She gets there from here she'd be a super horse......what's this.....Zenyatta hooked to the grandstand side....Zenyatta flying on the outside....this....is...un-belieeeeeevable!...looked impossible at the top of the stretch...

He doesn't shoot the three like Lazar.  On the other hand, he's got better size for playing inside than Lazar who was forced to play there due to a lack of height on the roster.

Looking back at Lazar's numbers, I don't think Lazar shot the three like we remember either. Just over 20% as a freshman, under 36% for his career. He was an okay shooter, but not great.

Nads would agree with you that those who pray probably have better things to pray for.

Otherwise, Nads would just hope for the best with this recruit, as with other recruits Marquette wants.

Nads certainly wouldn't spend time asking favors from some pretend being.

Here's hoping we get him. And here's hoping that if for some reason we don't get him, some Scoopers won't get some strange "Oh goodie, now I can bash Wojo" glee out of it.

He is an atheist so praying is not an option :)

Not sure why you, Dr. Gibberish and a few others have an obsession with me and some of the other atheist Scoopers, but if it makes y'all feel better about your sad lives, that's cool. Anything we can do to help (except pray, of course).

Not true. You're forgetting to factor in all the prayers asking Him to make them lose.

Dont believe i have seen any obsession with you on this board.  Just that a huge percentage of the board thinks you are an absolute D-bag.  Which you seem to own, so why the issue?

Thanks for checking.  I have a vague recollection that their was head scratching his freshman year over his poor 3 point shooting given his HS rep.  36% ain't bad considering 33% is the equivalent of 50% on 2 pointers from an eFG point of view.  Still I think most MU fans remember Lazar has a pretty darn good 3 point shooter, maybe because he hit 'em at opportune moments.  I still recall how deadly he could be hitting the trailing three during fast breaks.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Very reliable.

Yep.  As long as you're checking it within a week of a player's commitment when the word is starting to leak out.

I wonder if there is a breakdown of his percentages by area because I remember him being very good at the "trailer three" from the top of the arc.  Could have been just the fact that he got a lot of those from being last up the court after a rebound or in-bounding the ball.

Gotta like this start to the class. If we land Suggs, Steward, Burnett, or Davis to pair with him, the class is already a win. Hopefully his commitment won't interfere with Garcia, Sinley, or Ighodaro.

He's been involved in USA basketball since he was outside the top-100, now seems to be a consensus top-100 player and is one of 18 in his class selected for the Team USA camp coming up.

4) Jalen Johnson
7) Ziaire Williams
13) Jalen Suggs
14) Isaiah Todd
15) Daishen Nix
16) Walker Kessler
17) Isaiah Jackson
19) Sharife Cooper
20) Bryce Thompson
21) Cameron Thomas
23) Nimari Burnett
25) Caleb Love
29) Adam Miller
32) Dawson Garcia
38) Dalen Terry
40) Moses Moody
44) Jabri Abdur-Rahim
74) Justin Lewis

Let's hope our boy can quickly get on the recruiting trail with some of the names previously mentioned with Team USA camp

I'll update the chart at my next opportunity.

I think this is the first Maryland native to ever commit/sign with Marquette.

He was an okay three point shooter. It may be that we have been blessed with incredible shooters since Lazar was here or that the bar we had for great shooters was simply lower. I remember Jae being great at that trailer three but he was just a 35.0% career shooter. At one point our best shooters were Jamil (33.6% career) and Vander (27.7%). Consistently having players like Carlino, Howard, Rowsey, and the Hausers in the years since Buzz was here does put into sharp perspective how much better the shooting is now than it was then.

While Lewis' rankings aren't 5-star, I'm really optimistic about him if we are able to get the commit. He's been involved in USA basketball since he was outside the top-100, now seems to be a consensus top-100 player and is one of 18 in his class selected for the Team USA camp coming up.

He hasn't made a USA team yet, but they are bringing in 20-25 players in the class (he was one of 23 in 2018) and he's at least well regarded enough by those coaches to keep considering.

For context, here's the ranking list per 247:

4) Jalen Johnson
7) Ziaire Williams
13) Jalen Suggs
14) Isaiah Todd
15) Daishen Nix
16) Walker Kessler
17) Isaiah Jackson
19) Sharife Cooper
20) Bryce Thompson
21) Cameron Thomas
23) Nimari Burnett
25) Caleb Love
29) Adam Miller
32) Dawson Garcia
38) Dalen Terry
40) Moses Moody
44) Jabri Abdur-Rahim
74) Justin Lewis

Just to knock a few off of the list...Caleb Love is expected to trim his list by the end of the week to a half dozen or so. Kansas, Louisville, and North Carolina are all expected to make that cut, as well as possibly Mizzou. We'll see.
