Man Cassius is so good. How close were we to getting him?
We were #2 behind MSU. Izzo lived in UD High's gym while recruiting Cassius. Wojo got there a ton too and ended up taking Ike who teamed up with Winston to win the school's first state championship their senior year. it was close, but it was going to be hard to win out over MSU.

Talking about Ike, is he practicing at all?

He looked like he was in great spirits at the Big East tournament. He was also in great shape, so he is healthy enough to be hitting the weight room hard.  Hopefully he can come back and realize on his potential.

Good stuff thanks for the info

Stealing 82's thunder?

Well, I'm not a devil worshiper, either.

All 6-6-6 means to me is that I'll lose to the dealer if he/she gets a 19.

Depends on who stays and who goes. Could have a few spots to fill.

Yes, but I think those spot(s) go to Torrence,  traditional transfer,  or even a HS player that decommits due to a coaching change.

The number of players good enough to beat out our current roster will be small.  They'll also be highly sought after.  Other teams will offer a clearer path to playing time.

Plus, I favor continuity over acclimating a new player to the system.  Reward the guys already here.

An unexpected departure could change things.  Right now I don't see a clear hole on the roster to plug in a grad transfer.

II agree with all of this.  The fact that Wojo doesn't seem to be looking at any additional 2019 players leads me to think the final sport is going to be covered by:

-Torrance reclassifying (65%)
-Traditional transfer (25%)
-New feshman (5%)
-Grad transfer (5%)
"I am one of those who think the best friend of a nation is he who most faithfully rebukes her for her sins—and he her worst enemy, who, under the specious and popular garb of patriotism, seeks to excuse, palliate, and defend them" - Frederick Douglass

Herman Cain

I think with the last spot, we go with the old Dallas Cowboys philosophy of getting the best player available to fill it regardless of position.

Thank God, you guys avoided 666. That was a touch and go moment in Scoop history.

We could use a Nasi Marshall type grad transfer.......aka....slasher that offensively rebounds......

I imagine they hope a year of development will turn Cain into that.

What? I haven't seen Naji Marshall on one mock draft.

EDIT: Marshall is a sophomore?? Plenty of time for him to develop then. I thought he was like a 5th year senior. Not sure who the hell I was thinking of. Scruggs and Marshall are going to be a pain in 2 years.

He said Naji Marshall "type."  He couldn't come to Marquette even if he wanted.

I didn't feel made fun of, so we're good. I thought you were just taking a stab at hilarity, so I took my own.

Well played by both of you.

I'm just glad we got this off 666 before Thursday.... ;)

LoudMouth

Do we have any east coast recruits that might be making their way over to Hartford on Thursday for a spring break trip?

It's probably not a terribly drive for Symir to come down and catch the game.

Hmm...it would be pretty hard for the mods to lock the recruiting thread, but I could see a few timeouts for some users.

Says the guy who is talking about safe spaces in his last post before this.

Sad!

247 ranks Patrick Baldwin the #1 player in class of 2021.
Michael Foster ranked #4.

Anyone know if MU is getting involved with Max Christine (#7 on the list) out of Rolling Meadows, Ill.?
