After York visited Buzz thought they had him from what I've heard. Unfortunately after he visited AZ that changed quickly.

If Mannion is already an AZ lean that doesn't bode well but you just try to get him.on campus and hope he bonds with the other players and seee what happens.

Also, when you are talking AZ, they recruit like blue bloods, maybe do not play like blue bloods, so maybe by January they will have used up there scholys to 3 or
4 5 star recruits, or they lose there coach for payments, not even sure where that stands.  Not even sure Louisville has been reprimanded other than Pitino getting
fired.

Both EJ Liddell and Mario McKinney released their top 5 (Liddell) and top 7 (McKinney) lists. As expected Marquette was on neither. For curiosity seekers:

Liddell: Mizzou, Illinois, Ohio st. Kansas St. Wisconsin.

McKinney:  Mizzou, Oklahoma St., Louisville, Iowa St., Auburn, VCU, Kansas St.

That would leave Mizzou and Kansas St. as the opportunities if they played together in college.

Carrawell really struck out in his home town, happens.  As much as Chris maybe was a good big man coach, he did nothing on the recruiting end.  Really it is Wojo
and Stan, has Nelson brought anyone to the team?  I know he was in on Herro, that sure did not work.

MuMark

I believe Nelson was lead on Cheatham and possibly the Michigan guys.

TedBaxter

Brett was involved with the Hauser's and may have been in on the Detroit players.

I agree with this, but I think that's with any recruit, not just a 5 star, blue chip recruit.  For example, my guess is that Elliott, Cain, and maybe Eke (I think he played for the same AAU program?) being at/recruited by Marquette has played a big factor in Watts giving Marquette a serious look, and while Cain and Elliott are nice players and hopefully Eke becomes one, they aren't some stud players.
I am still hoping that they are stud players. They are quick and athletic. I was surprised with how much they contributed last year and they seemed to improve as the season went on. What remains to be seen is whether they are going to take a huge jump this year from their freshmen year. I hope they are improved enough that their playing time increases this year. Not expecting it, but either one could be a starter this year.

Alec Baldwin has done a lot of stuff before and since, some of it good, some of it bad.

His 7-minute scene in GGR is the single best thing he has ever done, IMHO, and it is one of the great scenes in film history.

Given the incredible star power in that film - an absolutely brilliant Lemmon, Arkin, Pacino, Spacey, Harris- that Baldwin was able to steal the movie in 7 minutes is pretty impressive.

He did the same thing in The Departed.

Baldwin also has the show stealing opening monologue in BlacKkKlansman, as a white supremicist recording a propaganda speech with The Birth of a Nation playing on the wall behind him.  Then he never appears again.  It's a shocking scene, but also brilliantly done by Baldwin.

And Baldwin's one-off scene might only be the second best one-scene show stealer in that movie, since Corey Hawkins (Dr Dre from Straight Outta Compton) is fantastic as Stokely Carmichael/Kwame Ture.

Just go see it, people.

Need to include Darlinstone Dubar 2020 on the master list.

MU was one of the first to offer 2019 Nobal Days. Gainey and then Carrawell were the lead recruiters, don't know who lead recruiter is now.  Has not announced  final list or officials yet.  Not the typical high scoring big man, so will be interesting to see which way the winds blow.
