He would prefer, then why are there like five bluebloods on his list.I would maybe buy that if he
was down to five schools or so. Its good PR to have your name thrown around, maybe one day Wojo bangs a couple 5-stars

Exciting stuff on Mannion. He said he would prefer to go to a non blue blood, fingers crossed Wojo can pull this one out. Would be a great get, IMO.

Any chance you have a link on that?
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

It was on a ten minute video on him, with his Dad. He says he would prefer to go to a program that he can stand out, similar to Trey Young. Sounds like a great kid.

Didn't Young desperately want to go to Kentucky but they never offered?
Retire Terry Rand's jersey!

AZ star reports today that 5 star Nico Mannion is down to 9 finalists.  MU is among them. We are in good company. Other finalists include Duke, KS, UCLA, Nova, and USC. They term him as a 6 foot three point guard that is #2 in the country. A 2020 prospect (he plans to reclassify), he is currently taking online summer school classes while playing with the Italian national team, and hopes to play with Italy (dual citizenship) on the 2020 Olympics. As a soph he averaged 24ppg, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds. Led his team to its first state championship in school history.

Is Marquette recruiting Zaire Wade?

Who did he eliminate since he just released his top-10 yesterday?

Duke, Kansas, Oregon, Utah, UCLA, Arizona, Villanova, Marquette, Vanderbilt, USC made the cut.

harryp is mistaken. The AZ Star article mentions that he listed Arizona, along with 9 other finalists. That's likely where the confusion stems from.

From Ben Steele's tweet his dad played a short stint with the Bucks.............when Dukiet was coach.  If Wojo/Stan can recruit past that stench they're better than any of us hoped.

Probably nothing, but could potentially be something since they're also after Carton, Watts, and just got a verbal from Jalen Wilson

The University of Michigan's John Beilein interviewed for the Detroit Pistons coaching job on Thursday, league sources tell ESPN.

Side note, Rocket Watts is supposed to put out his Top-7 today sometime

Did this ever happen?  If so, I missed it.

I think this has been linked in before.  Their is a familiarity between the Mannion's and the Bailey's.

I didn't realize Nico was actually born in Italy.

I knew his father met his mother while he was playing in Italy.  I think she was a rather accomplished volleyball player.   On the Italian National team for a few years.

I certainly would not want to be on the receiving end of one of her spikes.
Have some patience, FFS.
