The fact that we have gotten to the point where this is deemed as "mild" shows you the problems we face as a society.

I agree with this analysis.

Why did we not recruit Herro?  Seems kind of like a Rowsey that is 6'5"?

One reason is that three of our team's most prominent players reportedly were dead set against it.  Not that anyone gets veto power but 'fit' is important.  Let's move on thank you.

I know the Hauser brothers didn't want to play alongside Herro... who was 3?

And given Howard's relationship with the Hauser family....probably him as well.

Might have been, but I thought he was dead set against someone who landed 75 miles to the west.

Thanks.  Hadn't heard that rumor/fact.  Unfortunate that we had to let a borderline 5 star/high 4-star in our own backyard sign with a blue blood, because of apparent bad blood between a few of our players.

I understand the why not, but don't feel we are at a point as a program where the players on the team should be deciding who the coaching staff recruits.  Usually winning cures a lot of frustration and talented players help you win.

Of course this is assuming Herro wanted to come here. There is no indication that he did.

So rather than talking about Herro... any traction or news on Marquette reaching out to the two new PG decommits or getting a visit from AH?
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Herro was recruited by MU, then decided to go to Wisky.  Left Wisky, maybe Gard told him to take a hike, then Wojo respecting Gard did not really go after him after
that, enough said.

AH said in an interview that he's not reclassifying to 2018. If true, we won't here from him for awhile (if at all) in all likelihood. But I'm not convinced that him staying in 2019 is #donedeal yet. Teenagers often say things one week and then do another the next.

Haven't heard anything on the other two recent decomits with our name attached to it. But it's early. Whenever our NIT run comes to an end, I suspect we'll hear at lot more.

Pretty wrong meatslapper, that is one of the most important reasons for a campis visit so the players can interact with a kid.  And most coaches then ask the team what they thought.  The hauser brothers played on different aau teams to get away from him as did a number of other kids from wisconsin.  I think 95% of the kids out there there is no issue with , but for whatever reason alot of other players on mu n elsewhere said no thank you.  Get herro miss joey , unfortunately a choice needed to be made

It didn't have anything to do with Gard. If it did, I'm getting in the fire Wojo camp. That would be like passing on Vander Blue out of respect for Bo Ryan.

That's it?

That's pretty mild. The opposing fans were probably abusing him the entire game and he's still only a 17 year old kid. Not that bad of an overreaction.

It's out of line and you're lying. He's an 18 year old man... playing in a gym filled with children.

There was some dollars involved somewhere that Gard did not like, or Wojo, but Kentucky does not mind,  looks the other way, so be it, it has
happened for years and it will still happen.  Do you think Al was a clean recruiter or John Wooden, but Al knew it and John had his head in the
sand.

I never heard about money being involved. Not saying it wasn't, but I had heard Herro wouldn't be at Madison months before the decommit from a few different places, not because of money, but because the family thought they could do better.

Gosh, really?  Because if you ask badger fans they will tell you that he refused to take the ACT again to get his score up, therefore he wasn't interested in the "student" half of student-athlete and this was not Madison material.
I mean, OK, maybe he's secretly a serial killer who's pulled the wool over our eyes with his good deeds and smooth jumper - Pakuni (on Markus Howard)

The Madison side will tell you every recruit who went elsewhere couldn't cut it academically. See also Diamond Stone, Vander Blue, Kevon Looney...
