When guys blowup for the spring recruiting season, they take time to consider their options, unless their dream school suddenly takes notice.  Why wouldn't they?

We don't want anyone who doesn't have MU as their dream school

Very few players commit on visits in the spring. Most wait until the season is over. Gives them a better idea of roster makeup. I highly doubt that Elliott is committing this week, but that doesn't mean we're not a leader for his services.

And if it happens this week, would likely be between now and Wednesday. If he announces a decision this week it's likely a good thing, but it's not a bad thing if he doesn't.

That's right, we need to stick to the Cohens and Noskowiaks.
If you think for one second that I am comparing the USA to China you have bumped your hard.

I am sure the MSU offer is tough to say no to.  Never know what the family wants him to do.  Much like Joey, his parents did not miss a game this year, either one of
his parents went to his game.  Easier to see both at the same school.  Hope Joey feels that way.

Elliott has a brother at MU????
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

He's going to DePaul, you saw that, right?
Yeah, but family!
(Drake Diener went to DPU and a cousin played at SLU, right?)

Nice article in the Detroit Free Press on Marquette's inroads there:

http://www.freep.com/story/sports/high-school/2017/03/06/marquette-basketball-detroit-high-school-basketball/98822482/

"They didn't hide the facts about what players would be leaving or staying. They just keep it real, and that's what I really liked about them."

This is how rumors are started.

I was going to say the same thing. Otherwise a great article though.

The author did totally bungle where we placed in the BE though:

"The Golden Eagles won four of their past five regular-season games to place sixth in the Big East at 10-8 entering this week's conference tournament."

Most websites use overall record as the "tiebreaker".  So quick glance at ESPN, paying no attention to conference record, looks like MU is 6th.  Sloppy attention to detail.

Scoop "bungles" it as well. Look at the standing in the left column.

And he incorrectly listed Cain's height shorter than his 6'8" actual height.

Has now been updated to "tie for third."

Ike is shooting 40% from 3p range?

He's probably something like 8-20 on the year.

That's probably true but I work with a UofD alum who goes to all of their games and he's been telling me all year about how good his shot is looking.

I know against my Brother Rice Warriors he had a 4 point play. Didn't do much else though
