Having already visited Rice and Toledo in the fall, both of which came in the official visit variety, one is still left for Elliott to take. Rice, Detroit, Providence, Marquette and Michigan State remain in contention as the Spartans stand the best shot at getting an official visit from him sometime in the spring, meaning a college commitment may still be weeks away. "I really don't know. Whenever I get comfortable, then I will make my decision," Elliott said.

Due to the dearth of talented prospects still available, Elliott looks to have played his cards right and at the time being, a commitment to any of the three of Providence, Marquette and Michigan State should be expected following an official visit to MSU in April.

So looks like he'll be taking an official to Michigan State next month, probably after their NCAA games are over, then make a decision before or during the late signing period.

I would say most recruits don't commit during the season after the early signing period. Why commit in early March when you can wait until April and see who transfers and who goes pro? Gives you a better idea of the roster makeup.

If not I'm taking that name. Cooley told me my question was great after the game yesterday after I asked if he'd just forget the game yesterday and focus on the fact they were 4-8 and finished 10-9 in BE play. Obviously I am shallow and easily won over by compliments!

Gus Gansaskas (MUFINY's user name on the Dodds board) all of the sudden appeared on a Purdue forum posting that Xavier Tillman was going to MSU because he has a pregnant girlfriend. Meanwhile, MUFINY was posting the same thing here. He went so far as to link to the Purdue board and said he found a Purdue insider saying the same thing. He quoted himself as a source! Now Tillman did end up at MSU. So maybe he was right, who knows. But that was meta-scooping on a whole new level.

28 and had 19 boards as Point won. They play No. 1 Oshkosh North
