They'll find him at Duke, Marquette or East Carolina if he's good enough. Of course that's assuming he's playing at all of those places. If he's buried on the bench at one of those places, maybe not. Add to that a player's development and attitude are affected positively or negatively by playing time. So the guy playing regularly at MU could have a better NBA chance than that same guy getting limited minutes at Duke. I don't see any contradiction there.

Thanks to Mike and Sultan for coming to my defense.

Lappas was announcing a MU game this winter on CBSSN and mentioned all the NBA scouts out to see Omax. Scoopers thought he was crazy mixed up.

That's okay...reading comprehension has always been a struggle for me.

Why not UVA? They have 9 alums who played in the NBA last season, 7 of whom are under contract this season, 6 of whom were regular rotation players last season, 5 of whom were drafted, 3 of whom were drafted in the first round (and all three first rounders were in the last 4 years). I think UVA is one of the better schools at getting players into the NBA. Turns out defense, being team-oriented, and shooting threes are highly coveted by NBA teams.

UW, you're absolutely right about.
brah, you are stayin' in the car when we visit Kon's house. Agreed?  We want him on OUR team!!

The only person that will determine if K2 is actually NBA2K is Kon himself.

Just here to say that this is an awesome nickname.

Can you imagine an average Scooper on a recruiting visit?

2K wasn't a nickname I proposed for Kon.

How about Kon-Man - he'll take anything you give him and more.

Serious Thoughts: Kom– Should be an extremely talented college player. Amazing shooter in highschool, smart enough to play a team game and still get tons of shots. If he's a one and done player, (like Henry) why would he go to Duke and come off the bench his freshman year? I understand he's the type of kid that just wants to get better, so maybe 2 years in Durham will benefit him. Virginia is probably his best option.  He would be their brightest star.

Yet, I believe his opportunity to play his freshman year at MU in front of his family a dozen times and not make them travel would make him tilt that way. He's a kid who thinks about stuff like that. It's in his heart. Work hard, find success but always consider who are the people that are important to you.

When Al was here he had his star system. Seniors, juniors, on down. I admit, he sometimes stifled talented younger players because of it. But he was hard headed and it worked for him. Butch Lee was quite frustrated by it but he was an All-American his senior year. I could go on for a long time.

Shaka's culture will not be turned upside down if the kid from Wisconsin Lutheran signs to play at MU. And plays immediately. It would only mean that he earned it. He wouldn't expect to be a favorite son, but the fans at Fiserv would surely enjoy that he's playing here and he's one of us. And cheer their asses off. Anything less would be a let down for a kid who plays for the competition and the joy.

Stay close to home, your roots, around your family. Develop your skills in a great program. But don't get ahead of yourself. You're not Dwyane yet. The decision is his alone. Here's a pen. Sign on the dotted line. And you will cherish it for the time that it was. 2024 Golden Eagles.

This got pretty weird at the end. I advise a Scoop break.

Kon wants to get up and down the court, do not see VA or Wisky doing that.  Duke or MU seems to be his style.

Not sure that is the case........Kon has said he has " an old man's game".

Virginia is a major player for him .....he may not go there but if style of play was a deal breaker they wouldn't be in his final group and getting another official visit.........
