I find it interesting that so many people have such a strong opinion, one way or the other, on how the players with an extra year of eligibility due to Covid are classified. I can't think of anything that matters less. All that matters is how many years of eligibility they have left. Call them whatever you feel like.
If Kolek is a sophomore, then he needs 216 assists to break MU's sophomore season record.
If he is a junior, then he needs 275 assists to break the junior season record.

Welcome to Marquette Damarius Owens. It will probably the greatest years of your life.

O-Max, Oso & Tyler are all Covid Sophs this season, and are all eligible to play in 24-25 if they choose.
This messes with your Scholarship Table, but it is a true story.

It will be very interesting to see how this plays out.  I agree you keep recruiting as hard as usual, but unfortunately some players may
have to leave, hopefully they leave on there own circumstances, not asked to leave.

MU guess is Shaka has a real good idea which of those guys.....if any......plan on using the extra year.

Pretty clear who the top target is in 2024 now.  And we need a true big in that class too, Owens and Parham would be a really athletic, skilled frontcourt pair.

Agreed. Looks like Parham in the priority spot with Abraham and Dortch behind

Would be extra sweet to land Parham since Wisconsin also has him targeted.

Parham has taken official visits to Marquette, Notre Dame, Penn State, and Wisconsin.  Unofficial visits to Xavier and Maryland.

Apparently, Marquette also checked in on Sir Mohammed this week.  Big time athlete and shooter.

Sir Mohammed would be a great get, IMO. Love the pedigree and his athleticism.

Great shot. Strong athlete. Would love to see him in blue and gold.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

If Shaka signs 3 for '24, Partham and Sir/Kon the top of the list for the last 2 spots?

I mean you can never tell by just one highlight video, but that kid seems to have NBA future written all over him if he add any bulk whatsoever.

He also seems like a perfect Shaka recruit and athlete.
I would love if Shaka landed that dude.
If he did, I'd fully expect he would be heavily involved from the jump and no more than 1/2 years at Marquette, and Id be ok with that.

Get em Shaka!

Haven't posted in here for awhile but I'm shocked we haven't seen any recruiting news about local Pewaukee player Nick Janowski. Have seen him play multiple times this year, and many times in the past. This kid can play, was blowing a team out by 25 and was slapping the floor on defense. Can shoot the ball off the dribble nicely and is a great passer . Has 9 games logged on wissports with 5+ assists (definitely helps 4* Milan Momicilovic on the team). Just scored 45 points on 8/12 from 3 against a very solid Milwaukee Academy of Science team.

He's a good player but Marquette has a ton of guards.  Focus is on a big like Parham and/or bigger wings (Kon, Sir Mohammed, Isaiah Abraham).  Bryce Dortch is probably still in the mix as well.

His high level lefty shooting reminds me a lot of Kam, I'd like him on our roster for his successor
