Serious question, has MU ever had a successful international player?

Mbao, Frolling, Niv, Ike, and McMorrow all were complete flops.

Junior and Koby are sort of a mixed bag but certainly not home runs.

Anyone else?

To clarify - I'm certainly not saying we need a team full of Wisconsin kids nor recruit three stars with limited upside just because they're from the area.

If all things are equal talent wise, it makes much more sense to stay local for a litany of reasons. Time investment and economics are valuable.

I agree on the time and economics point. But locals pretty subjective, especially on this board. Some people are convinced that local means all of Wisconsin. When culturally a kid from say Superior WI has nothing in common with a Milwaukee kid and is roughly the same distance away timewise as a kid growing up in Grand Rapids.

Essentially, my rant is our "area" should mirror our general student body, focusing on Twin Cities, Chicago, WI, MI and then see about interest from the rest of the country.

He's teammates with Joplin at Phenom U, who seemed stoked that Trimble got a Marquette offer (if retweeting and complimenting reaches "stoked").

Trimble looks explosive af. Definitely someone we'd like to see playing PG and even off-ball in the future.

Would be very pleased with a Stevie and Trimble backcourt.  Both are big, athletic guards who can play on and off ball together.  Hopefully Bates and Bond join them on the wings as well.  Very athletic group to get after it on both ends.

Interested to see how Kam fits - not the type of explosive athlete shaka usually has in the backcourt.

In 2017, our (then) president remarked something to the effect that the president of the (U.S.) Virgin Islands should be the one responsible for helping the recovery effort from the category 5 hurricane Maria. I don't think he was even embarrassed when someone eventually told him that he was the Virgin Islands' president.
