He can step in at MU right away as well.  I have been to every campus in the Big Ten except the schools outeast.  Illinois plays in a dump compared to
the Fiserv Center, plus the school is in the middle of nowhere.  Very unimpressed with the campus as well.  That would be the last place I would want to go.

Well, Illinois has had a ton of talent over the years, so obviously lots of players don't evaluate the attractiveness of the situation there the same way you do.

The two programs are on different trajectories.

Yes, they are this year, but once Frazier, Dyousuma, and Cockburn leave, they will be back in the pack of the Big Ten again.  Always fluid.

Brad Underwood > Wojo

Brad Underwood > Wojo

He is ... but Wojo's first 3 seasons at Marquette were better than Underwood's first 3 seasons at Illinois. Certainly it looks like Underwood is building a better recipe for sustained success at Illinois than Wojo has at Marquette, one of the reasons Wojo should be shown the door.

But I'm gonna tell you that after Year 2, there was grumbling in Illiniland that they had been stuck with another Groce.

Another fanbase that is never happy.

First season was equal, second season Wojo and MU was better and season three U of I was definitely better.

That must've been your stomach grumbling. $5 bitcher wanted Wojo fired in year two, that doesn't validate anything nor does it speak for the majority of the fan base.

I was speaking of the aggregate. Wojo 52-45; Underwood 47-47.

But yes, each had a bad first season (as is the norm) ... Wojo's second season showed significant improvement while Underwood's team actually got worse ... and each had a good third season with an NCAA bid. Underwood's third season probably was better than Wojo's, but certainly not by a mile. Both programs seemed headed in the right direction.

Underwood's 4th season is a million miles better than Wojo's was, of course.

Let's end this now. Has nothing to do with recruiting.

This. Doesn't get much dirtier.

Are you talking about the vacated seasons at SFA?  Cause the same issue vacated football, baseball, and softball victories.   Not to mention women's golf and T&F.  That wasn't cause of Underwood and a bagman

Here is a starter. After he left OSU the NCAA went hunting there too.

Ah, 82, don't forget the wisdom of the departed CBB: it takes five years.

And let's not forget about his assistant coach Orlando Antgua. Learned at the heels of Calipari and then had problems as the head coach at USF. He should be toxic but I guess an academic scandal among other thins are OK.

I'd happily wager that at least 1 of them does.  No inside info, just purely a guess.

Was Charles rated higher prior to his injury?

A long athletic wing would be a welcome addition to the 21 class.

You've been lobbying for switchables - Charles looks/sounds like he fills the bill.

Indeed.   First switchable since....Jamal?

I love Jamal but he's not a switchable. Too limited.

Feel charles is super underrated. Assuming he's over his injuries could be a steal
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Was Charles rated higher prior to his injury?

Yes but most of his fall was due to his play rather than his injury. He started his sophomore year as a borderline 5-star. By the time he got hurt, he already fell to the 100-125 range. After the injury I think he fell to around 200 and has since risen to the 150-175 range.
