2017 F Terrence Lewis (6-6) of Milwaukee Riverside plans to take an unofficial visit to Iowa State this weekend.

We need an official visit to MU from Terrance.

I'm ok without him. Give me Theo instead. He can go to MUwest

Ignore me. I confused French with Lewis.

I will take Lewis please, thank you.

I think right now you can have no dealings with recruits, but now that Terrance is taking an unofficial visit it seems they can talk to coaches, what is the NCAA
rule right now, can you email, text or the coaches take vacation this time a year after a crazy July period?

We offered late though. Iowa Sate has been on him for awhile.

I think Duane is going to be a big asset  recruiting Terrence. Hopefully he can help Wojo close the deal. I wonder who is else is on Iowa State wing shopping list.

Why not? The Young man stated he had a lot of respect for Duane.

Exactly.  That might be the problem.

Duane has had a good experience in the program and really enjoys the school in general. I think he could make an excellent case for Terrence to join the team.

I didn't say that. I'm just saying that Duane might not be as helpful as MUFINY thinks.

Sounds like you know Duane well, so let me throw out a hypothetical from left field. What if Duane's dad wasn't overly happy with the way Wojo is/was using him and felt like Duane had too short of a leash last year? And what would happen if say, some new recruits took "Duane's time" away from him this year. Hypothetically again, how would Duane's father and biggest supporter -- who also is T Lewis' coach and mentor -- feel about putting another player in that program if he was not happy with the result from the first experience? And finally, what if two city guys you knew since you were a little kid left that school after a "bad" experience and only had great things to say about the school that they transferred to in Ames, Iowa. So many things at play beyond even these "scenarios."

Makes sense.

Of course if that Hypothetically were the case, I would agree with the analysis.

I think reality is Duane had more minutes as a sophomore even though he was hurt, Wojo believed in him in the clutch and he had the longest leash of any kid on the team as Wojo left him in one game after going something like 2-15 from the field. None of the newbies are going to take Duanes minutes unless Duane completely collapses which is unlikely. Duanes dad worked hard to deliver the MU offer for Terrence. Duane has scored almost 800 points in two years so it could hard be labeled a disappointing experience from a basketball perspective and he is clearly growing as a young man so what is not to like.

Yes the two guys leaving are a countervailing force. Obviously much discussion pro and con on this website about Deonte leaving, but McKay was barely here and he left under the prior administration.

Iowa State is tough competition no doubt about it. Hoping we can make our case because I believe Terrence is a kid whose stock is steadily rising. Would be a real force on the floor at some point paired with Ike Eke.
