Yup, but it will also help larger schools even more, where most of their alumni live in those urban areas.  Glad you finally coming around....sort of.  Of course other schools are totally screwed along with their student athletes...but f’em....eh.

The class of 2019 is the first class since the class of 2013 where Duke and Kentucky didn’t make up the top 2 recruiting classes...and they’re 2nd and 3rd this year. You’re right, throw out all the parity that we so clearly see when it comes to landing the top talent currently. How will Horizon League teams ever compete for the 5 stars they’re landing so frequently now?

Where did I say parity exists today?  I did not.  The problem is that this will further separate the rich from the poor.  The middle class schools will pay the price the most.

Let's keep this thread to Marquette recruiting. Please. Plenty of other places for the other debates.

Erin Andrews biographer

I agree with you that some schools recruit way differently than we do.  That will get even worse with the new laws if they go into effect, and yes there will be people like Johnny and others that either don’t get it or don’t care.  I am really worried about Jayce because Johnny saw him a bunch on TV and said he isn’t good.... :o

Several things in here that have nothing to do with anything I said.

Anyway, I'm excited about BD's comment and hope it means we'll be getting more great recruiting news soon.

Yeah he's almost certainly going to MSU, which makes me more anxious to get RJ committed. Thanks for the update BD - this board has missed you so much.

Hoggard to MSU.

I think he’ll be a really good college player, but I always thought Davis was the better fit for the style Wojo’s teams have played. Hopefully we’re not left in the cold.

We are very much in the thick of things for RJ Davis. It is now hand to hand combat between Wojo, Ewing and Capel

On another website, someone pointed out that Dain Ervin, the latest RJ Davis pick, is the kind of guy that is why JB doesn't like Crystal Ball. Of his 31 correct picks, 12 were made 3 days or less before the commit. Another 4 were made 6 days or less. So more than half his correct picks came from either making a late pick or flipping a pick within a week of a kid committing.

While that's kind of the crappy thing about CB, it also indicates that when those late indicators some in, he's usually correct.

I believe that is the 2nd time Ervin has crystal balled Marquette for Davis.   The 1st was back when Davis took an unofficial visit to Marquette.

Update on RJ...

Even if he does want to go to NC regardless of his role,  do they have enough scholarships to take him? Or are they holding them for bigger fish?
