Duke and Kentucky are not doing it legitimately.  They may be able to say plausible deniability but they are not doing it legitimately.

If you want Marquette to cheat if necessary and winning matters at all costs, say so.  I'm a fan, not an alum, what they do or how they do it matters little to me.

I know the world we live in today, winning trumps integrity.  What's the final cost?  Banners is a closet is about it.  It's up to the individual institutions to decide if they care how they win and alumni have a lot of say in that
Well said. Winning at all costs is disgusting.

Calipari pulled big talent into Memphis, too, as did Dana Kirk way back when.

And Josh Pastner.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

In 2007-08, Calipari had future NBA MVP Derrick Rose, future 6-year NBA player Chris Douglas-Roberts, and a few cup-of-coffee kind of pros. All after getting to the national title game (thanks in part to cheating for which Calipari, of course, didn't get punished).

We'll see if the high rankings translate into anything for these Memphis guys.

Joe Jackson - 5 star, #20 overall
Jelan Kendrick - 5 star, #23 overall
Tarik Black - 4 star, #62 overall

he clearly cheated, as Crawford used all his eligibility at MU, and Jackson was already stepping out .

Effing sucks we didn't get Tarik Black, could have taken that 2012 team from very very good to excellent after Otule went down

Michael Foster Jr. is taking his talents to Arizona.

The 6-foot-9 forward, who played his freshman and sophomore seasons at Milwaukee Washington, began to create a buzz on Twitter late Saturday night as word spread that he would transfer to Hillcrest Prep in Arizona. Joining him will be another rising junior from Washington, Chianti Clay, a sharp-shooting guard who is receiving Division I interest.

Isn't that a NCAA rule? How is this possible?

NCAA rule is that you have to sit out a season, which is different than losing a season.

That makes sense.  I was thinking loss meant sitting out.

Why would you follow your dad when you know you're not as good. I'd advise against it, don't need the added pressure.

Exactly.....and why would Wojo( or any other coach) want the headache if the kid isn't a stud?

No upside to it at all.
