Separate this discussion into another thread.

I agree with tower guys.  That's absolutely horrible and is totally worthy of discussion.  But let's kindly move the topic.  Thank you in advance.

CountryRoads

Wojo saw a good game from strawther last night. Scored 25 points and grabbed 9 rebounds.

Guys.....

Move this elsewhere.  Start a thread.  It's easy.

I am liking how much steam seems to be picking up with Strawther. Lots of banter with Markus. Wojo seeing him last night. Let's get him to cut that list to 1
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

IMO, I feel like it's between us and Gonzaga for Strawther.  UNLV seems to be hanging around cause they're the hometown team.
His relationship with Markus is awesome for us, but you have to think Gonzaga landing Jalen Suggs (someone he'd actually play with) would trump it.  So let's hope it doesn't come to that.  That being said I really like our odds here.

Wojo and Stan recruit about as relentlessly as anyone in the country, we're certainly fortunate in that regard.

I believe MU is mentioned with at least 12 top 50 players in the 2020 class with 1 commitment so far.Outstanding recruiting.Looking forward to the staff closing the deal on a few others.

Wojo to poleaxe the entire team and bring in 13 freshmen, all top 50.  It's a bold strategy, Cotton.
If you think for one second that I am comparing the USA to China you have bumped your hard.

Anyone know why Chris carrawell was in town the other day? Johnson? Baldwin?
Retire Terry Rand's jersey!

We R Final Four

He maybe interviewing for the Port Washington head coaching position......I hear the AD and Superintendent maybe available as well.

Strawther seems like much more of a pure scorer than Torrence. They would be a sweet backcourt. A dream scenario would be to add Burnett to that duo and then I think you have a backcourt that surpasses the three amigos. At least based on recruiting rankings and overall hype of the players coming in. A long way to go, but I love the caliber of players wojo and staff are targeting for that class. We will need some big time players to stay at the top of the big east come 2020.

I'm so wary of good classes, figure we've had so many top ten or fifteen classes since 09 and each has pretty much been a bust overall except Howard, Hauser and Bailey.

Marquette and Maryland were in tonight for 2020 forward Matt Cross, a source told Stockrisers and Prep Hoops. Woodstock forward.

Henry's class in 2015 was 12th.......didn't work out so great.

2013 with JJJ, Burton, Wilson, McKay, and Dawson was definitely top 10

Lol complete bust of a class right there. Either they didn't pan out or they left to be stars elsewhere

That's cool until Howard declares, which I believe he will. Not like he's going to grow 4 inches his senior year.

That's fine, but if he declares and isn't drafted then he might as well come back, which the new rules allow him to do.  That or go to Europe, which is there for him whenever.

JJJ panned out just fine. Was a good not great player. Burton was pretty great at ISU. The class as a whole didn't succeed at MU but individually there were some good players.

The mind wonders what that class would be ranked if Markus was a senior instead of reclassifying.

Strawther will still be in high school next year.   Not sure how your point is relevant.

Cadougan, Maymonn, Williams, DJO, Fulce, Buycks, McMorrow was 12th via 247. Outside of DJO I'd say that class never lived up to its billing.

For some reason I thought we had one more that was just outside top 10 but still thats 2/3 that didn't work out. Would also like to add the majority of our top 100 players over the years end up being busts, transfers or not even making it to campus.

Just hard to continuously get excited about recruit rankings anymore.
