I would not be surprised if Duane Wilson becomes a coach at MU in the future.
I would love to see Duane on the staff as a graduate assistant. Then work his way up from there.

I felt so bad for the kid when he got injured last year. He was playing so well and was an important factor in A& M early strength. He handled the injury well. I think he has all the attributes of someone who would be a quality coach and leader.

Marquette wasn't in the top left corner. Clearly that means we weren't the first team on his mind when he made the list.

Marquette is closest to his heart though.

His cutdown list was apparently chosen for the number of frequent flier miles he'd earn on officials.
Surprised not to see the Maine Black Bears on there.

Maybe it's the win and alcohol speaking but I think he can realistically cut that list down to 5 pretty quickly

I always wonder when a player sets 5 official visits...but then cuts the list to more than 5....how do you feel if your one of the schools that didn't get an official? Sure if you're a local school that the player can do unofficials to whenever they want, that's one thing.  But how often does a player take 5 official visits and then commit to a different school? I'm sure it happens but I'd imagine it's not that often.

New rules.  Players can take more than 5 official visits.

Totally agree.  Some of the schools on the list are getting courtesy consideration in my opinion.

Strawther also has close ties with 2020 SG Joshua Christopher (#8 overall) and has even hinted at possibly teaming up with him in college.  Neither MU nor Gonzaga (two teams that could be the favorites here) appear to have had any contact with Christopher so no further speculation to draw....damn.
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is.

Further reading in the tipton edits tweets show that he would also be interested in teaming up with Suggs.

I'd be ok with handing him the decision of joining Suggs and Harris at Gonzaga or Torrence and Burnett at MU.  Great options if your Strawther.

I know Burnett to MU is nothing more than a wish at this point but the fit is so perfect I can't help my optimism.

No news about Garcia is not good. How can he not love Marquette after experiencing life here last weekend?

We R Final Four

Maybe he does, but is playing it close to the vest.
Maybe he wants to discuss it over with his parents again and sit on it for awhile.
Conversely, we have read some texts about recruits having a great visit and end up going elsewhere.
But, I wouldn't classify no news as "not good."

Heard nothing from Torrence for 2 months after his visit.......then he committed.

I think the trend of players committing shortly after official visits will be killed by the new rules. It used to be that seniors were the ones going on official visits. Now it's juniors. Dawson has plenty of time to make his decision. No news is just no news. Its not good or bad.

New rules.  Players can take more than 5 official visits.

I don't know what you mean by players, but isn't it still generally 5 official visits for prospective student-athletes in high school?

Current NCAA rule:
13.6.2.2 Number of Official Visits—Prospective Student-Athlete Limitation. A prospective student-athlete may take a maximum of five expense-paid visits to Division I institutions before October 15 following his
or her completion of high school and five beginning October 15 following his or her completion of high school, including visits related to a possible transfer. These restrictions apply regardless of the number of sports in which the prospective student-athlete is involved. A prospective student-athlete is not required to graduate from high school in order to receive a permissible post-high school visit. [D] (Revised: 1/12/04, 10/28/11, 5/11/18)

Hope he's not too bummed about his stress fracture. We have a strong history of guys with injuries, so why not join the club?!?!?

Juan Anderson's Mixtape

Thanks for the correction Jaybee. I misunderstood the rule change.

I thought it was 5 official visits as a junior,  plus 5 more as a senior.   But 5 is still the max.
