Offers from: UNLV, SD State, AZ State

Looks to me like the guy wants to go somewhere warm, and ASU, like Hansel, is so hot right now.

What, your saying the new arena won't be heated?

Well that doesn't give you the warm and fuzzies. Translation - I'm going to Mizzou if the offer is solid, but my coach says I should list all of these other schools for the time being.

Remember that was written by a Mizzou guy so that could be why it is written that way.

Caleb is a legitimate prospect and would be a great pick up for Marquette.

I know it's been answered here before but I always forget.  I believe Carwell would be an MU employee long enough that a "normal" student could get his tuition covered by MU.  Could Caleb come to Marquette and have his tuition paid for without taking up a basketball scholarship?

Based on the other schools of interest it looks like his options might be 1) scholarship at a mid-level school or 2) walk-on to play for dad at MU

He is playing on a very good NC high school team. My understanding is the Badgers and Cal have also shown interest.

Carawell has been a Marquette employee for as long as Wojo has. So if Wojo could get him free tuition so could Carawell I would think.

I believe that deal is only among Jesuit schools...and that school has to have a student that wants to come to Marquette.

In other words, if someone on the MU staff has a kid that wants to go to Georgetown, someone at Georgetown has to have a kid that wants to go to Marquette.
Have some patience, FFS.

If it is the same as when I was looking at colleges in 2000, Georgetown was the only one of the 28 Jesuit colleges or universities not to participate in this program.

And, I don't think it is tied school to school, but rather how many students a school is sending to any of the other schools.

Boston College didn't participate either at least not back in the late 90s.

For those interested, Courtney Ramey and St. Louis Webster Groves will be playing Oak Hill Academy of Mouth of Wilson VA tonight at 9:30pm in the semifinals of the Bass Pro Tournament of Champions in Springfield, MO. It is on CBS Sports Network. It is the 2nd game.

Also..... (I was able to catch the Highland Illinois Shootout as well recently. Mario Mckinney with an impressive game for St. Louis Vashon, 28 points 10 rebounds slicing and dicing another zone defense set up against him,  in a 67-64 win over Champaign Central (Il). Also at the event, St. Louis Chaminade with a 107-94 win over Chicago Morgan Park.

With a 9 day break coming up between the DePaul and Xavier games, the Marquette staff could possibly see DJ Carton, Mario McKinney and Mark Watts/Isaiah Williams on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.  Carton will play in Clinton, Iowa on Thursday, McKinney plays in Topeka, Kansas sometime on the 18th, 19th or 20th and Watts/Williams on the 20th.
