Dat's da Jeter connection, hey?

Yep.  Rob Jeter is an assistant at UNLV.  He brought PG Jordan Johnson with him from UWM.

Alexis already has an offer from Green Bay. So there is evidence that someone at the next level is keen on his talents.

To put things in perspective ,Kostas is averaging 5.9 ppg 3.9 boards 1.7 blocks 0.7 assists and 0.4 steals pregame on 60.5% shooting with Dayton in his freshman year . He has started a few games and had some double doubles. He does get in foul trouble which limits his playing time. However he is turning out to be a decent college player so far .

I would like to see us sign Alexis as he appears to be on a solid trajectory upward.Giannis is an exceptional NBA player. Thananis is a border line NBA player so we know the bloodlines are strong .

To put things in context, Kostas is putting up those numbers coming of the bench on a 4-5 Dayton with losses to the likes of Hofstra, Old Dominion, and Penn and only wins against Tennessee Tech and three MAC teams. A bench player on this year's Dayton squad wouldn't crack the rotation at Marquette. Maybe he will improve in future seasons.

But Alexis is already ahead of Kostas given that he is actually starting for his high school team. So maybe he could be worth a look.

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Juan Anderson's Mixtape

Kostas also is putting up the bulk of his stats against cupcakes.  In two games against Auburn and Miss St he combined for 32 minutes, 5 points, and zero rebounds.  He also has a very high turnover rate at 28%.  Very much still a project at this point.

Wojo and Carrawell at Webster Groves High School tonight for Midwest Shootout. All day event. Courtney Ramey's Webster Groves team is playing now. (Ramey has cast off but will not play until January) Mario McKinney of Vashon is up next vs Chaminade.

Is McKinney an MU target? Are there any other MU targets that we know of in the event?

St. Louis Chaminade is filling in for Chicago Morgan Park who couldn't make it.

Lots of good players today.

Alexis has a lot of good qualities in his game and appears to be on a good trajectory. He is 6-6 190 already and definitely has a high quality neck like Giannis, so there is definitely a lot to work with .  I think he will do well this spring summer on the recruiting circuit.

That doesn't surprise me. Morgan Park was late to their own home game the other week.

Mckinney finished with 18 points and 4 assists with a strong 4th quarter in a 77-74 loss to Chaminade. He was quiet much of the first half. Chaminade played a lot of zone against the very quick Vashon. So Mckinney, the left hander, was often positioned in the middle of the lane or right wing for the undersized Vashon team. He scored some big buckets late against bigger guys. Jericole Helms, an NC State signee led a balanced Chaminade attack, along with sophomore Luke Kasubke. Chaminade recently lost by 4 at Chicago Simeon.  Chicago Orr defeated St. Louis Hazelwood Central in another close game. Shaun Williams, Kansas State signee had a nice game for Central. Raekwon Drake, Donnie Smith, and Chase Adams had big games against Central who was coming off of a triple OT game the night before. Feen Creek with a convincing, methodical win over Webster who looked lost without Ramey.

Wojo and Carrawell did some mingling with Cardinal Ritter people, Carrawell's high school alma mater. They played earlier in the day at the event.

Offers from: UNLV, SD State, AZ State

Looks to me like the guy wants to go somewhere warm, and ASU, like Hansel, is so hot right now.

GGGG

Freshman right?  Long time to go before he signs.

Hope Wojo signs 2018 Connor Crabtree.  He plays dominant like a man against boys.  6'5" 190, shooting guard.

Herman Cain

Dominican and 2020 Alexis Antetokounmpo doing well so far this season 6-0.  I expect the recruiting for him to heat up this summer.

Has Marquette even offered Crabtree?  Haven't seen a clarification after Marquette went to watch him at Hargrave.

Not sure either.  But Wojo watched him play the other day.

Probably keeping his options open, to many transfers to not wait till spring.
