Beating SJU and Georgetown this week won't impress anyone so we will need a lot of help to get ranked before the UConn matchup.

It is unlikely indeed to be ranked in a week (unless there is a pandemic of losing in a select group of teams). So winning the next two won't be much help. Winning the two after those will get us some attention!

I like the cohesiveness of this team more as a whole but I don't think it's individually better than last year at this time

I think this years team is significantly better.

I think this year's team is more of an actual team.  They've all bought in to the system.  I loved the grad transfers from last year that got us some success, but this young core could be special when their time is all said and done.

Last year Shaka pieced together a very competitive team, but not a perfect fit for the style he wants to play. I have no idea if the individual pieces are better, but probably could argue yes, I have no doubt this is a much better team this season. It took me about two games to be convinced this team was built for a season and not just a very, very good run.

Makes some good points, but until the AP rank means anything other than whose scores show up first on the bottom of the screen ticker I don't see anything changing.
