Oso planning to go pro
they were like...White Castle....Who do you think you are...John Dodds?/FIFY
Anyone else here ever have the banana macadamia pancakes at Boots & Kimo's in Kailua?http://www.bootsnkimos.com/menu/banana-pancake-kimos-macadamia-nut-sauce
Why not Krystal's. Southern version of White Castle. Way better in my opinion.
My rule: never click on a link that contains "nut-sauce" in it ay na?
I've said my peace on the subject. Now Arby's. How about those shakes, hey?
Do you really think there is a difference?
Or Burger King's Lucky Charm Shake ..
TAMUI do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.
Haven't been there in decades, but yeah. Do they still serve chicken?
They do still serve chicken. Most definitely, the Krystal Chiks (chicken) for one, and the fries are an improvement over white castle. Either way, ideal drunk food.Well at least when real chili is not available.
I'd never heard of Krystal until they became one of our customers. White Castle is also one. When the Krystal people came to MKE, I asked them about the similarity to WC, which one came first. Apparently they were invented around the same decade .. but the owners of Krystal and WC had a gentleman's agreement, Krystal would stay south of the Mason-Dixon line, WC north, and that looks be in effect today.I can't for the life of me figure why WC doesn't have more than 1 store in Wisconsin. It would be a smash success in MKE.
Because of Culvers. That's why Steak-n-Shake failed here.
I wouldn't think White Castle and Culvers are competitors. I'd think it'd be McDs and BK.I think a MKE WC would succeed like Krispe Kreme and Chick-fil-A did. Dunkin Donuts, KFC, and Popeyes are all over the area, but KK and CFA succeeded.
Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny. Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.
Did Krispy Kreme succeed? They have a single location in Wisconsin. Dunkin has a reputation for low cost and good coffee. Chick-Fil-A is also much more of a "suburban" oriented restaurant than KFC or Popeyes. With White Castle, there are a lot of burger joints. I think they look at this market and think resources might be better spent elsewhere.
Ask someone in Sauk City if they consider Steak n Shake a competitor and they'll nod their head. Ask the same person if they think Krystal or White Castle a competitor and they'll laugh you out of the room.
Well OK. I guess I am just thinking reasons why WC wouldn't come here.
Easy. Low-cost/low-margin/high-volume businesses tend to gravitate towards less affluent, under-served, relatively low-risk, high-density/high-traffic areas. Wisconsin has a lot of places that meet two or three of those criteria, but not all four.
