I mean that’s not at all surprising.  He’s the *best* player on a very disappointing and underperforming team.  Plenty of people here used to get pissed and rage at Markus for the teams struggles.  Add to that he’s slow and comparatively unathletic and prone to goofy expressions.  And usually the best player on an MSU team is a lottery pick or strong NBA prospect.  He’s neither.  He’s really the perfect scapegoat

Agree - he’s playing good ball this year.

Sometimes people need to step back and understand these are kids . They are playing as hard as they can to the best of their ability.

OK, 9-9-9, I hear ya. But does that apply to Myles Powell and Kelly Tripucka, too? Or are Marquette fans allowed to dislike them? Do we have to admire Brad Davison because he played as hard as he could to the best of his ability?

Being told I had to like Davison would be like a punch to the groin.

Plus, they are not “kids”.  Kids are like elementary school age.  They are young men, heck Joey Hauser is the same age as Ja Morant, Luka Doncic and many others.

Joey is not playing good ball this year.

Joey is an adult.

Joe Hauser will be working for Northwestern Mutual eventually, probably.

Well at least you got 1 out of 3 right.

If you truly think he’s gonna be in everyday insurance sales due to lack of opportunity to play professionally, you’re as clueless as thinking a guy averaging a very efficient 14/7 in a high major conference, on a team averaging under 70 a game mind you, is not playing “good”. No metrics back that up at all.

No sour grapes on my part. He’s playing well this season on a flawed team.

Sam back to his role off the bench had a solid effort , making all three of his attempts , 8 points in 13 minutes ,in the Celtics win Thursday night .

Also , Joey made some contributions with 10 and 8 in Spartans win over IU Tuesday. That victory definitely helps MU’s Cause.

... in a losing effort.

Which should be utterly irrelevant to his performance or perception.  They went to OT because Iowa hit 5, FIVE, triples in the final 40 seconds.  MSU only turned it over once in that time and missed a single FT, neither of those were Joey and he didn’t lose his man for open triples.

18/5/4 on 6/9 (4/4) with 1 TO and no foul trouble is a brilliantly efficient offensive game.  But idiot Spartan fans will likely still blame him. Not Walker who vanished in OT or Hoggard who was a sloppy mess.

I was watching and rooting for Sparty.   You are too smart to play asian carp on that easy chum.
