Koepka with the smack!

Love the smack.  Playing sub-hack golf for 7.5 holes.   Pulls the shot of the match.   Chirping.

The fact that I’m a better golfer than Brady (on some days) makes me feel so good about myself.

Had the exact same thought. Also, his long "drive" was 220 w a 3 wood. Also made me feel better.
But I like to throw handfuls...

I need to stop being surprised when golfers never can keep a score.

Played 18 on Saturday, long day. Packed municipal course. One of the foursome played college golf, but nowhere near that good anymore.

First hole, par 4 sends one way left, across the adjacent fairway. Drops, hits short of the green. Chips on, two putts. Takes a bogey. Not looking to push it, but that’s a double.

Second hole par 5. Fairway, fairway, chip, putt, putt and quick rakes the putt after the miss. I already had a six down, but wants the par.

We’re sitting at the turn, I’m +6 and he’s +1 talking about he could be -2. I respond with you should be +9 if you could score yourself correctly. Made for an awkward back 9, but at least he got honest.

If his drive was in a hazard, it’s a double. If his drive was lost or OB, it’s a triple.

I was assuming it reached the lateral stakes, likely generous.

If it is a league or there is money in it, I care.   If it is a casual round, write down anything you want.   The problem with lying about it is if you lie your butt off and then post that round and others like it for handicap purposes.    Congratulations, you have screwed yourself.

Bryson his huge.   He says this is so he can hit the ball farther.    OK.    On some level, is this bulking up come from his run in with Koepka a couple of years ago when he realized Brooks could kick his ass?

I think the initial bulk around the Presidents Cup was, yes.

The guys chasing speed now and it may be working. Leads the field in driving after day one.

Still putting relatively miserably.

Foss Park in North Chicago today. You wouldn't think it, but beautiful, well maintained course. It's never going to win any awards, but I'd consider it a nice little hidden gem. Also, can't beat $44 a round.

This may be the only time I’ve ever heard Foss Park spoken highly of.

I love raised cups.  See the break better, hit it firmer.   Even par with 23 putts today.

Great leaderboard. Might even watch a little of the tournament tomorrow.

Gotta admit, given everything going on, I think it would be totally cool if Varner wins.
