In other news, Walmart missed its quarterly sales comps for the first time in 5 years as shoppers pulled back with rising gas prices.  Stock was down 6% pre trading.

TORONTO (AP) — The premier of a Canadian province launched a blistering attack on U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday, calling him a "bad person" and "not to be trusted" and urging Canada to keep fighting rather than rush to make concessions in trade talks with Washington.

Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew said Canada has leverage in the talks even as his province weighs restoring U.S. alcohol sales at Prime Minister Mark Carney's urging to help secure a deal that would avert threatened 50% U.S. tariffs.

"Everybody knows the American president by now, he's erratic, he's irresponsible, and he's not to be trusted. And this is the person that we were supposed to make a deal with, and we're going to make additional concessions for it. That's why I say you can't make a good deal with a bad person, because who's to say it's not going to be undone?" Kinew said.

@ the MUScoop chalet, Amazon only uses USPS, so no 2 day delivery.  We use Walmart+, almost exclusively. They use FedEx shipping which arrives in two days or less (even on Sundays).  Don't even try to tell me Walmart is a worse corporation than Amazon...

Walmart won't die.  Probably.  But it's tough sledding when people have to quit buying things because gas prices are higher (beta cucks).

As someone who has done a lot of business with Walmart, there are other issues at hand, but no, they won't die.  Doesn't mean it's a good buy at this time.

I'm still doing a little nibbling. In the last week, I've bought some AMZN, NOC and MCD. Certainly not going wild with buys, though. Then again, I don't mind holding cash as an "asset." Some folks are always fully invested.
