I'm still doing a little nibbling. In the last week, I've bought some AMZN, NOC and MCD. Certainly not going wild with buys, though. Then again, I don't mind holding cash as an "asset." Some folks are always fully invested.

What do you do with cash on the sidelines? Ever just do a 6-mo CD??

Just buy the companies that decided not to return the tariff money to their customers.  I'm sure they'll be reporting bigly gains!

Yes, I have a couple of CDs, including a big 9-monther that matures in a couple weeks.

I also have SGOV and JAAA as cash equivalents. And of course money-market funds earning about 3.5%. I only have like $1,000 in a regular bank account.

Yeah, it's pretty amazing that the same policy tried by Herbert Hoover in the middle of the Great Depression (which only made it worse) isn't having the desired effect.

Actually, now that I think about it, the desired effect is being achieved.  Price gouging, cronyism, and the illusion of punishment of our trade allies for 'being unfair to us'.

Exactly. He has a 4-year-old's understanding of economics, but he 100% understands tariffs are a pathway for both corporations and foreign governments to bribe him.
