Aside from the top 10-20%, the economy is a dumpster fire. Job losses, little hiring, inflation, lower real wages, meh GDP.

But for billionaires and multimillionaires who hold most stock and who have gotten bigly tax breaks, things are lovely.

EDIT: One stock I (unfortunately) own a little of is animal-health company Zoetis (ZTS), which is getting punished today for a weak earnings report - another in a series of rough quarters. Non-wealthy folks are not getting routine vet checks, heartworm meds, anti-tick meds, etc, for their pets. Plus, the company has had to offer discounts. It's an example of a quieter measure of the economy's weakness.
