4.2% inflation for May.
Fantastic!

I think you're wrong. As I understand it:

"We fixed inflation, and we fixed almost everything"

"The U.S. has virtually no inflation. Grocery prices, energy prices, airfares, mortgage rates, rent and car payments are all coming down, and they're coming down fast"

"already solved inflation" and that "costs are down."

I can't believe these idiots score so many own-goals. They should have raised rates 6 months ago if they were going to keep this trade war going and start a war in Iran.

Well sure ... the promise of opening a Strait that was open before Capt. Bone Spur got 13 U.S. soldiers killed is good for stock market.

To heck with those dead soldiers - my portfolio will go up a percent today!

As most predicted, the Fed opted to keep rates unchanged. The market went from positive to negative today during new chairman Kevin Warsh's first post-Fed-meeting press conference.

I watched the press conference and was fairly impressed. I later read accounts that described Warsh as "hawkish," but I didn't get that feeling as I listened to him; it's not as if he pushed for a rate increase. He sounded reasonable and pragmatic, and I came away feeling that, at least for now, he was determined to keep the Fed independent.

Over time, it will be interesting to see how his Fed moves - and how he publicly describes its actions; in this first media session, he kept things pretty close to the vest and disclosed minimal information. Obviously, it also will be interesting to see how long a leash he gets before the guy who hired him starts calling him names.

Wouldn't it be funny if Trump accidentally picked two excellent Fed Chairs in a row?

AI earnings and their stocks continue to be an absolute freight train.  Is it unreasonable to think this will mirror Big-Tech and how they've performed over the last decade?  If you found 100K and were asked to invest it with the goal of exponentially increasing MU's NIL, or the WDCDF (World Diminutive Citizen Defense Force), and had to choose 5 stocks, where would you go for a 5 year window?  Would it be in AI stocks?

I'd put my money in whichever stocks the Trumps are buying.

Certainly not hand waving away any correlation between Trump stock buying and news, but even further there are various politician stock trackers and if you follow them, you can make REALLY health returns, even factoring in the lag between them front running news and the reporting window they have to follow.

Its hilarious rampant and shameless and I think the main reason it isn't a bigger deal and uproar is that far too many people are ignorant/naive to financial markets for one reason or another.
