TSmith34, Inc.

Is it Goose's greatest economy in history yet?

I don't think it is time to bottom fish yet.
If you think for one second that I am comparing the USA to China you have bumped your hard.

Ruining the global economy is a big part of what is planned.

Now to walk away before I get roped into no-no posting.

Link? Further explanation?

Suppositories

While I was putting in "hero" orders before I went to bed last night, I also chickened out and canceled my long-standing limit order of 77 shares of MU at $77.77.

It would have hit - Micron is down 14% to $76 as I write this.

That's not the subject we were discussing. The subject was someone fleeing to 40% cash holdings because they were/are afraid, instead of sticking to their investment plan. Mistake, IMO, unless they are planning to spend the cash in the next 12 months.

People who flee to cash have the problem of not knowing when to buy again. I know I have that problem, so they'll miss the run-up again. Timing the market is a monster mistake unless you're very lucky.

Do whatever, though, it's not my money.

The choice for weathering the storm is holding the cash of 1 country, or investing in globally diversified monster companies run by the best CEOs available. Easy choice.

Reasonable. Thanks for the response.

Np. But just because I'm certain I'm right doesn't mean I'm actually right.

Not many hegemons have crumbled in history. This is relatively unprecedented wrt investing.

Don't worry ... I'm not investing as if you're right - ha!

I'm holding a ton of cash in a high yield money market account, but I owe the government quite a bit in two weeks and have substantial estimated taxes to pay the rest of the year. Everything else is and will stay invested. Tried convincing my wife to move some of that cash to buy low, which, I am sure we can all understand was met with a tad bit of resistance.

Yeah I reserve my estimated taxes. They honestly sit in a checking account because I'm lazy.

Too many of you people think this is temporary.

Yes. We ignored you the first time. Find a political board to discuss.

It's a worthwhile exercise to discuss (yes, on a politics board).

Meanwhile, the one day sample size was actually a positive for my 401k so must mean it's working!
