I was following the game on the Gameday app, was very happy to see them win, especially after being down.

Prospects going forward?

Agreed. I read this topic all the time but just don't have much to add.

I'm appreciative for the reports typing this from the women's crazy basketball state.

App notified me that we were losing in the first half.  Glad to see the ladies pull out the win.

I don't really know how they played as I couldn't see most of the game due to work - was so bummed they didn't have an evening game.

Prospects are good going forward assuming no big losses in the transfer portal.

Glad to see Volker could play yesterday - had no idea how bad her injury in the BET was.  I would have hated to see her career end with an injury.  Charia Smith wasn't in uniform yesterday - not sure what's up with her but she didn't play a ton this season either.

They travel to James Madison on Sunday for their next tournament game - James Madison earned a 1 seed in the tournament.

I don't know how I'd handle all the blowouts if I was a UCONN fan - would get bored of that I think.  But they do support their women's bball in Connecticut - I admire that.

I saw MU was down by 10 at the half and next time I got a chance to check the score they were only down by 1 at the end of the 3rd quarter - was pleasantly surprised to see that.

Ok so three of us were at the Fiserv for the NCAA game but keeping track of the women's team on the app and ESPN, really too bad they couldn't pull it out in the OT.
I understand that yesterday UConn was shooting three's while up by more than 60- really poor of them, IMO.

GOO

Two things:
I appreciate the women's team updates. I check them whenever there are new posts. Looks like MU  made a solid to great coach hire. The volleyball coach hire also is a proven coach - which I wouldn't expect for MU - maybe the non-revenue sports budgets have ticket up a bit from times past.

UConn: they need to keep running their offense so I don't have a problem with them shooting threes. All teams continue to run their offense regardless of the score, hopefully with many of their B players sprinkled in. Need to continue to prep the team and players for the hard games to come. If they pounded the ball down low many would complain about bully ball and that would target one or two opposing players who'd be in foul trouble quickly as would the subs.

Always appreciate Marquette Fan's posts and look forward to offseason recruiting and other WBB news updates.

Turned on the Alabama-Maryland game back in the 4th quarter. Now in double OT. Terrific game.

MU class of 65

Does anyone know who Cara is recruiting from the class of 2026?

MU class of 65

Next year we should be very good. Ten returnees that have a lot of minutes among them. The following year we lose 6. That's why the class of 26 is important to future team development. There are a lot of girls is that class in Wisconsin and Illinois who are outstanding.

Yes, MU is recruiting her.

MU class of 65

I have seen her play several times, she is not flashy , but can do everything on the court to help a team win. Nazareth played Arrowhead in January and Stella was outstanding in a Nazareth win.

Our three loses to UConn don't look too bad after the 34 point beating of an elite team in UCLA.

We only lost to UCONN twice this season as we only played them twice - Villanova got the honor of losing to them 3 times this season 😀.  I expect them to win in another blowout tomorrow over a pretty good South Carolina team.

Marquette picked up a transfer commit from Jordan Meulemans.

A 6-0 guard from De Pere, WI, She played two seasons at Butler before being sidelined with a knee injury this past season. She averaged 8 points a game as a Sophomore including 43% from 3 on 144 attempts in 23-24.
