You weren't looking closer enough then. I've shook Joey's hand before. He's already bigger and bulkier then his brother
Is it possible that if Joey heals, they could take the redshirt off and he could play in the tourney? Not asking if probable, just if he could?

He is taller, but no longer bulkier.  He seems to have thinned out IMO.  Ive seen JH play since a frosh for SPASH at Concordia, tv, and MU games. I think spring/summer weight will be put on.

I shook his hand last weekend. He is currently bulkier than his brother.

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Yes. I'm not sure how often it is done but it is possible.

Wojo ran a play specifically for Sacar when they needed a good look.  And it worked.  That was a ballsy move and IMO shows that maybe we were writing him off a little too soon.  Look, the guy is never going to be instant offense, but he's smart and plays good defense.  And he's only a sophomore.

I think TAMU is correct but as I think we all would acknowledge that would be really, really foolish.  Like way worse than Junior Cadougan foolish.

I'd prefer to let the other team roll the ball.  It takes just as long to get the ball up the court when the guard is first touching it while it's on the ground and has to start at 0 speed while standing up to dribble vs. catching the inbound pass on the move already ready to dribble.  Plus the ball handler doesn't get a head of steam coming down the court and it's a lot easier for a ball handler to get a step on someone when that person is picking them up full court.  See Chiozo in last year's Sweet 16.  Had Wisconsin picked him up at half court they have an extra defender in play, he probably doesn't get a step on his defender/his defender actually stays in front of him, and he probably doesn't get the kind of momentum going forward that he got.  He got a wide open shot, and when teams pick up full court or 3/4 court they're a lot more likely to get wide open shots/straight line drives to the rim rather than being redirected, in my opinion.

Big win.  Many more big games to come.

Yeah you let them roll the ball.  Much better than getting MU's already weak perimeter defenders out of place.

A damn good play.  I also remember a crisp play out of a timeout where Markus was freed up for a great 3 look and drained it like 5 seconds into the possession.  Progress since Saturday?  I know, small sample size.

Wojo usually ends up getting a good look out of timeouts.  (I think PT did a segment on it last year.)  That is why the criticism over them taking a timeout against PC last Saturday was unwarranted.

He's been balling out the last 4 games. Taking what the defense gives him, which has included some 3 pt attempts. His slashing ability is a much needed asset on this team. If I had a wishlist, it'd be that he get better at FTs (even though they no matta) and develop a back to the basket move. His demise has been greatly exaggerated; he will be a key glue guy that sets the bar for physicality on offense and defense. Just really glad we found him.

Unless Joey says he's only staying two years anyway...

That said, he's still in a boot.  I don't see it happening.

I'm going to enjoy Sacar's leadership and contribution for 2 more years.  I love kids who have the 'whatever you need coach' attitude.

I guess I don't understand bulkier then.

Joey is taller and weighs 10-15 lbs less than Sam, which would mean that he is not bulkier than Sam.  Perhaps he seemed bigger in person to you, but he is not bulkier than Sam.  He just isn't.

I wasn't aware that you were present for his weigh ins. I think Joey has been listed as 6"8 210 lb since the beginning of his junior year. He is neither 6"8 nor 210 lbs now. Not if his brother is truly 6"8 225 lbs. Joey has an inch on his brother and is either the same weight or slightly heavier and appeared to me to have more muscle. I shook Sam's hand and then Joey's and sat in the same room as them for an hour and my first thought was "dang, Joey's bulkier than his brother already". I am just reporting what I saw.

No need to be a dick.

Interesting how someone who is taller and weighs the same (your words not mine) could be bulkier.

I too have seen Joey in person recently standing next to his brother.  Joey is thinner than Sam.  Ergo, Sam is bulkier.  But, whatever.

Marquette must have won.  The arguments have devolved down to which Hauser is bulkier.

Sacar has been gaining confidence in his perimeter shot too. Don't think he'll ever be a great shooter but he's 3-4 over the past 3 games. Teams have to start respecting that just a little bit and he's going to become very effective.

Joey did not appear to be in a boot last night.  Any word on the rehab?

Well said.  Sacar is an absolute asset to this team and program over the next two + years.  He's a VAST improvement over Haanif - MUCH more athletic, and an above the rim capable player.  Very good slasher, and his shooting will improve some.
